fingers and Old Bay Seasoned Peel ‘n Eat
Shrimp. There are diner classics like meatloaf
and macaroni and cheese, and American regional
sandwich faves such as The Reuben and Philly
Cheesesteak.
Because the American palate is so diverse, other
popular ethnic influences are found on the Rusty
Bucket’s menu, such as: Quesadillas, Blackened
Mahi Mahi Tacos, Hummus, Potstickers, Pan
Seared Salmon with pan-Asian flair, along with
pastas both familiar and creative.
You’ll also find fresh salads, from BBQ Chopped
Chicken to Thai Steak, to our own very American
specialty— the Double Nickel. We also feature
seven hearty, daily specials —some home
cookin’, some regional favorites, some Italian—
all delicious.
What you won’t find is pre-made, restaurant
supply ingredients. Rusty Bucket is all about
fresh food.

The Rusty Bucket menu, like America itself, is an
array of big, bold flavors. Diners can certainly
eat “big,” but a variety of salads and grilled

Association’s Kids LiveWell program, assure it’s
comfort food at its best.

Gary’s Beer Declaration
At the Rusty Bucket, we employ modern techniques with a proud history of serving beer. A
Tavern has always been a place of business where people gather to drink a pint and, more
than likely, also be served great food.
The idea of having a great beer at a place like the Rusty Bucket goes back centuries! The
early founding fathers enjoyed their beer in taverns and conducted important, history
changing events.
*Gluten-Free Friendly Menu Available
Taverns served to provide a comfortable place for both locals and travelers. They provided
a place to meet friends, exchange ideas and share news. Taverns even served as the Post
Office and the courthouse in many early cities. So be proud of your part in continuing the great
American tradition of gathering with friends to enjoy a pint where the neighborhood eats,
drinks, and laughs.

As President of Rusty Bucket Restaurant and
Tavern, Gary Callicoat has defined what gives a
restaurant concept diverse appeal and a true sense
of hospitality. Since opening its first unit, Rusty
Bucket has enjoyed steady growth under Callicoat’s
leadership as neighborhoods across the Midwest
have embraced this fun, fast, familiar, and friendly
establishment in their communities.
Gary Callicoat began his career in the hospitality
industry at age 15 as a dishwasher at Geisenhaus
in North Canton, Ohio. He quickly found himself
ascending to a number of managerial and
operational roles in multiple restaurant companies,
most notably with the 55 Restaurant Group and
Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR), both based in
Columbus, Ohio.
Callicoat’s experience with Cameron Mitchell as
his mentor spurred his entrepreneurial spirit. While
serving as general manager of CMR’s Martini,
in downtown Columbus, the concept for “Rusty
Bucket” was born. With Mitchell providing valuable
guidance, Callicoat began to realize his goals, and
the Rusty Bucket was on its way to success.
In May of 2002, The Rusty Bucket Restaurant and
Tavern debuted in the affluent Columbus suburb
of Dublin. Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern
delivered a menu of pub classics and familiar, yet
6
updated, made-from-scratch diner favorites and a
comprehensive list of over 80 beer selections.
Giving the community a casual dining concept that is
as appealing to families as it is to the sports leagues
gathering after a game, the Rusty Bucket found
its niche and began to seek out similarly situated
locations and expand across central Ohio.
Currently, the Rusty Bucket has 21 locations in
five states, and will be opening an additional four
locations by the end of 2016. During the next three
years Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern plans to
harness the power of the brand and expand to over
40 locations becoming a super regional brand, with
projected annual sales exceeding $100 million.
Reflecting a long record of giving back to the
hospitality industry, Callicoat serves on the board of
the Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA) and is equally
committed to supporting charitable causes of the
communities in which he does business. He is also
on the board of the ORA’s Education Foundation
and is a proud supporter of Ohio ProStart as an Ohio
ProStart Preferred Partner. Callicoat encourages
and leads his team to give back in many ways with
numerous activities throughout the year including
raising funds and acquiring basic supplies for
underprivileged school children, coat drives in the
winter, and providing Thanksgiving meals to the
Salvation Army. Callicoat is proud to have piloted
the Ohio launch of Round It Up America® at all Rusty
Bucket locations in September 2011.
Every dining detail at Rusty Bucket is designed to make Guests
feel an immediate sense of welcome and familiarity.
Genuine Hospitality
Decor
More than a philosophy or a catch phrase,
“Genuine Hospitality” are words lived by at every
Rusty Bucket. The answer is YES to our Guests,
and the key word is “Genuine.” Every member of
our wait staff takes a genuine interest in each
and every Guest — what they like and don’t like,
and taking care of special requests. Part of this
genuine approach is to remember our Guest’s
name when they return. This “everybody knows
your name” feeling, found for decades in American
neighborhood taverns, is the cornerstone of
the dining experience at Rusty Bucket.
Materials: The neighborhood restaurant and
tavern feel is extended through the materials used
in the indoor décor. Exposed brick walls, wood floors
and dark wood accents all give each Rusty Bucket
the authentic look of a neighborhood gathering
place.
Televisions: Designed to be seen from just about
any angle, the television monitors inside Rusty
Bucket are convenient to those interested in sports
broadcasts—yet unobtrusive to the uninterested.
Accents: The memorabilia found on the walls of every
Rusty Bucket is designed to maximize sentiment
and familiarity. Much of the content is localized —
featuring historical community photos along with
area high school and college sports team pieces.
