What is the Christmas Dinner a Day Facebook Competition run by Luas?
It is a competition for customers run by Luas on the Luas Facebook page –
www.facebook.com/luas. Entrants can enter via Facebook by following a link

the Luas Facebook page which will enter them in a daily draw from 12th November –
9th December to win one of 28 Christmas Dinner Hampers.
How to do I enter this competition?
You enter by logging on to Facebook and either searching for ‘Luas’ in the search
box in the top left corner of Facebook or type in the URL: www.facebook.com/luas.
This will bring you to the Luas Facebook page whereby you can enter by clicking on
the competition link and filling in your details.
How do I know that my entry worked?
All entrants who have followed the correct instructions will receive an
acknowledgement email from RPA via the Wildfire App.
Do I have to pay to enter this competition?
No, all entries and acknowledgement in response to entry messages are free. No
purchase is necessary to enter this competition.
Do I have to have a Facebook Account to enter this competition?
No, you can also enter via a widget on the Luas webpage at the bottom of
www.luas.ie/christmas-dinner
Do I need to be a certain age to enter this competition?
Yes you must be over 18 years of age to enter this competition.
Do I have to have a Luas Ticket to enter the competition?
All you need is the ticket that you use to travel on Luas – this can be a Luas ticket
bought at the machine, through an agent, Leapcard, Tax-saver, Dublin Bus/Luas
Combi, Irish Rail/Luas Combi, Monthly Plus, Luas Smart Card, Free Travel Pass.
Where can I find the ticket number on my ticket?
This depends on your ticket type:
Luas ticket machine – Front, bottom of white box
Luas ticket agent – Front, above ‘valid from’ box
Leap Card – Front at bottom left above/beside ‘uimhir/number’
Luas Tax Saver Monthly/Annual – Front, above ‘valid from’ box

What are the prizes for this competition?
The prizes are 28 Christmas Dinner Hampers with enough food for 6-8 people
delivered on 22nd December. One hamper will be given away each from 12th
November – 9th December 2012. Winner’s names will be published on Facebook
everyday once they have been confirmed with RPA.
What does the hamper contain?
The Christmas Hamper contains the following items:

The Christmas Hamper prizes are supplied by James Whelan Butchers and they are
responsible for delivery of all hampers to an address supplied by winners on
December 10th for delivery on December 22nd 2012. A vegetarian and coeliac
version are also available. All hampers come with full cooking instructions that are
supplied by James Whelan Butchers. RPA is not responsible for the delivery or the
contents of the hampers.
How many times can I enter this competition?
Only one entry per person is accepted. No cash alternatives will be offered to the
winner and the content of the prizes may be subject to change at the discretion of the
RPA.
How are winners selected?
Winners are selected at random each day from 12th November – 9th December by an
RPA representative. All entries are entered in the sweepstakes each day. Judges
decision is final.

How are the prizes matched to winners?
RPA representative will text or telephone winners informing them that they have won
and will get their preferred delivery address for December 22nd. Final addresses will
be sent to James Whelan Butchers for December 10th. Delivery addresses cannot
be altered after this date. Once winners are confirmed we will publish their name on
the Luas newsfeed and state that they are that day’s daily winner.
When does the competition start and end?
The competition starts on Monday 12th November at 10:00 and finishes at 23:59 on
Sunday 9th December 2012. Entries that are received before or after these dates will
not be valid to be entered into the prize draw.
