Birthday Party Information Sheet
Location: Ches Penney Family Y, 35 Ridge Road
Thank you for booking your birthday party with the Y! To make your party an enjoyable experience, please review
the guidelines and information below prior to the date of your birthday party rental. If you have any questions or
concerns please call 726-YMCA (9622).
Option 1- Bouncer Party
2 hour party that will include one hour of unstructured activities in the gymnasium with the inflatable
bouncer, then one hour in the party room.
$165 + HST for Y Members and children registered with Y Children’s Services only
$195 + HST for non-members
Availability: Saturday or Sunday 12:30pm – 2:30pm, 1:45pm – 3:45pm, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Early access cannot be granted and end times must be respected.
Maximum of 20 children per party. A minimum of 6 party guests, including the birthday child is required.
Children are to be 12 years of age and under.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supervision of children at ALL times. There will be a Y staff person
on duty for general assistance. We require at least one adult (in addition to party host) be present for
every 6 participants.
Please note: Party rooms are multipurpose spaces and may have other recreational equipment in them.
There is no guarantee of additional activities being available for use (e.g. computers, video games, etc).
Party room is set up with tables and chairs for eating and for gift opening.
Up to 8 children can use the bouncer at a time.
We ask that children/parents remove shoes and empty their pockets of any sharp objects, e.g. keys, while
in the bouncer.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supplying their own food, dishes, napkins, cutlery and decorations.
There is no access to kitchen facilities
Food and drinks are permitted in the party room only.
Parents/guardians are asked to clean up any garbage and remove all party related materials from the
room. Garbage bags will be provided.
Due to allergies animals, peanuts and latex balloons are not permitted.
Please use sticky tack/puddy to put up decorations.
Photography is permitted in the party room only.
Payment
YMCA payment options include Debit, Credit Card (Visa/MC/AMEX), Cash or Cheque
Full payment is required at time of booking. Bookings for parties must be done at least one week in
advance of party. Parties are booked on a first come first serve basis.
Please note that two weeks notice is required for cancellation/refund
Please allow 4-6 weeks processing of refund

Option 2- Pool Party
Two hour party that includes a one hour swim followed by one hour in the party room. Please note that
the Aquatics Centre will remain open to members throughout the duration of the swim. Access to the
Whirlpool is not permitted during parties.
$175+ HST for Y Members and children registered with Y Children’s Services only
$205 + HST for non-members
Availability: Saturday or Sunday 12:30pm – 2:30pm, 1:45pm – 3:45pm, 3:00pm - 5:00pm

In addition to ensuring that children under the age of 12 are supervised by a parent/guardian at ALL times,
party organizers must ensure that, when in the Aquatics Area:
Children 0-5 yrs are supervised by a parent/guardian (min 16yrs) in the water within arms reach (1:1 with
no lifejacket, 1:2 with lifejacket).
Children 6-12 yrs who can pass the swim test can be supervised by a parent/guardian (1:8 from the pool
deck, 1:2 in water for non-swimmers with no lifejackets, 1:8 for non-swimmers with lifejackets).

Appropriate swimwear is required. Clean t-shirts may be worn for modesty or medical reasons.
Young children and anyone who is incontinent must wear a clean, properly fitted specialty swim diaper or
rubber pants
Parents/guardians with children under the age of 12 are asked to use the family change room
Photography is permitted in the party room only.
