WHAT IS THE GLORIOUS LAND?

The phrase “glorious land” is being discussed today.
It has to do with a prophecy in Daniel 11 that we believe is
taking place in our day.
“He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many
countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of
his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the
children of Ammon.” Daniel 11:41.
The Hebrew phrase for “glorious land” is used in two
other verses in the book of Daniel. Both verses describe
the entrance of Pagan Rome into the “glorious land”—an
event that happened over 2000 years earlier in 63 BC when
the Roman general, Pompey, conquered the geographical
area of Judea—the Promised Land.

In the Old
Testament Period,
prophecies
are
interpreted
geographically.
But in the New
Testament,
the
entity is global
and the prophecy
is
interpreted
spiritually.
This
is
clearly seen in the
use of the term “Babylon” or “The King of the North” in
prophecy. In the Old Testament period, “Babylon” was the
first world empire that conquered Israel. It was a specific
local place and geographical
But, in the New Testament period, “Babylon” is
symbolized as a woman, whose name is “BABYLON THE
GREAT, the Mother of Harlots.” In the Bible a woman
represents a church system, and “Babylon” and the “King
of the North” represents the Roman Catholic Church
system—the “Mother of harlots” [mother of the fallen
Protestant church systems]. In the NT period “Babylon”
and the “King of the North” is truly a global and spiritual
entity.

The same is true for the term “Israel” in the Bible.
In the Old Testament, “Israel” or “Glorious Land”
represented the land and people occupying a specific place
geographically. But in the New Testament, “Israel” and
the “Glorious Land” are global and spiritual, representing
God‟s church—those who love God and keep His
commandments.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew
forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light:” 1Peter 2:9.

ELLEN WHITE TALKS ABOUT THE GLORIOUS LAND.
“I am told that before finishing the life of Christ I
ought to visit Jerusalem, the holy land. What made it
holy? The Majesty of heaven clothed His divinity with
humanity, and dwelt upon our earth. He was despised
and rejected of men; in Jerusalem He was crucified by
wicked hands. I have not the slightest inclination to visit
Jerusalem, to see where it is thought probable that Jesus
trod, where He may have labored, and where He may have
been crucified. The means which might be expended thus I
would prefer to treasure, that I may point souls to the
Saviour risen from Joseph‟s tomb, and proclaiming, „I am
the resurrection and the life.‟ I can trace His footprints in
the sure word of prophecy, and can obtain a better idea
of His works and of His ways, than I could by visiting
Jerusalem, defiled with unholy feet and unholy deeds. I
could not expend money to visit these places when the
living interests of Christ‟s kingdom are to be presented to
the people. We are to teach the word of God, and to be
doers of that word, which is represented as building upon
the rock; the structure thus built will withstand the storm
and the tempest, because it is founded on the eternal Rock.
“I wish to see Jerusalem when the fires of the last
great day shall have cleansed it from all sinful defilement.
Jerusalem is now no more sacred to me than any other
place on the globe. Wherever by his Holy Spirit Jesus
makes known His presence, wherever his righteousness
shines forth in bright and glorious beams, wherever his
divine love illuminates the humble places of the earth,
wherever his honor dwells, there I am pleased to be.
Christ looks with sadness upon the delusions that ensnare
human minds who are so eager to behold the place where
His feet are supposed once to have trodden, and yet who do
not heed His command, „Follow me,‟ who do not walk in
the light as He is in the light. A shadow is resting over
Jerusalem, a terrible shadow, which I have no desire to
come under. Everywhere a curse is visible, which I have
no desire to look upon. I can see marks of the curse
everywhere. To be able to say I have visited Jerusalem
would not shed a distinct ray of light upon one soul. It
would not enable me better to tell men and women what
they must do to be saved. I present the word of God in
truth. I listen to the precious lessons which Christ gave His
disciples. In my mind the scenes of His ministry, the places
where He taught by the lake side, and clothed with the
solemnity and beauty which nature and the word of God
have given them. I am content: I would not have darker
pictures. I do not wish to look upon the desecrated shrines,
with all the repulsive features that would meet my view. I
would not be hired to behold the traces of the curse so
evidently resting upon Jerusalem. I hope to see this spot
when the earth shall be made new, when I shall behold
Him whom my soul loveth, in His majesty and glory
crowned as King of kings and Lord of lords.
“I have not one word of encouragement for any
person, neither have I money to impart to any person, to
visit Jerusalem. As it now is, it would be a picture I would
never wish to hang in memory‟s hall. Brethren, do you
believe that you will soon see Jesus? Then do not
needlessly expend means that is of so great value to save
precious souls; they need never get a sight of Jerusalem
under the curse, but with inspired words you can point
them to the New Jerusalem, to Jesus the Mediator of the
better covenant, who ever liveth to make intercession for
us, and whose intercession is wholly efficacious in our
behalf. I know that Christ looks with sadness upon
those who are searching for the places He passed over
while in the flesh, but who fail to recognize Him as a
living Saviour, on any ground, in any place. He says,
„Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.‟
Men may search in vain for the foot-prints of Christ in
Jerusalem. I care more for where He is now, in heaven,
and for what He is doing in my behalf.” Paulsen

Here we see that
1) Judea was holy and glorious when holy feet tred
upon it—the holy feet of Jesus;
2) That Jerusalem today, because of its wickedness,
“is no more sacred than any other place on the globe,”
including the United States of America; and
3) That the “glorious” land today is where the
presence of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are seen in the
righteous lives of God‟s people—where the present truth of
the Three Angels‟ Messages of Rev. 14:6-12 are preached
and lived. Today, the glorious land is global and spiritual.
This is the glorious land: “For where two or three are
gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of
them.” Matthew 18:20.
ALL GLORY COMES FROM ABOVE
Nothing on earth is glorious all by itself. All glory
originates from the Father above. And this glory is His
character.
“And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee,
and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee;
and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will
shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.” Exodus
33:18,19.
“And the LORD passed by before him, and
proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and
gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and
truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and
transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the
guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children,
and upon the children‟s children, unto the third and to the
fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6,7.
“Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods?
who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises,
doing wonders?” Exodus 15:11.
JESUS CHRIST‟S GLORY
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John
1:14.

GOD‟S NAME IS GLORIOUS
“If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this
law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this
glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD.”
Deuteronomy 28:58.
GOD‟S NAME, HIS GLORY, IS ON HIS PEOPLE
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy
word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I
am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.”
Jeremiah 15:16.
GOD‟S NAME, HIS CHARACTER, WILL FILL THE
EARTH WITH GLORY THROUGH HIS PEOPLE
“And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let
the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and
Amen.” Psalm 72:19.
“And after these things I saw another angel come
down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was
lightened with his glory.” Revelation 18:1.
MOUNT ZION IN HEAVEN IS GLORIOUS
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the
city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful
for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on
the sides of the north, the city of the great King.” Psalm
48:1, 2.
“Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God.
Selah.” Psalm 87:3.
GOD‟S PEOPLE ARE PART OF HEAVENLY ZION
“…Say unto Zion, Thou art my people.” Isaiah 51:16.
“And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto
them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the
LORD.” Isaiah 59:20.
“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount
Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”
Psalm 125:1.
“For ye are not
come unto the
mount that might

22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the
city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an
innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the

and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things

The glorious land is where Jesus stands with His
people on Mt. Zion. To stand with Jesus on this spiritual
mountain one must accept the Three Angels‟ Messages of
Revelation 14:6-12. This is a global message to every
nation, kindred, tongue and people. Those who accept the
First Angel‟s message will fear God and give glory to
Him. It is the global, spiritual “glorious land” that Satan
hates and attacks through the King of the North. Many will
fall, but not all. Isaiah describes those that escape out of
the clutches of the King of the North in this spiritual
battle for the mind.
“In that day shall the branch of the LORD be
beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion,
and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called
holy, even every one that is written among the living in
Jerusalem:
“When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of
the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of
Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment,
and by the spirit of burning.
“And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place
of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and
smoke by day, and
the shining of a
flaming fire by night:
for upon all the
glory shall be a
defence.
“And there shall
be a tabernacle for a
shadow
in
the
daytime from the
heat, and for a place
of refuge, and for a
covert from storm
and from rain.” Isaiah 4:2-6.
SO WHAT IS THE GLORIOUS LAND?
GOD‟S CHURCH—WHERE HIS PRESENCE IS
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth
eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy
place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of
the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15.
“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also
which shall believe on me through their word; That
they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in
thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may
believe that thou hast sent me.
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given
them; that they may be one, even as we are one.” John
17:20-22.
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of
darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of
the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6.
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the
glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from
glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2
Corinthians 3:18.
“The king's daughter is all glorious within: her
clothing is of wrought gold.” Psalm 45:13.
“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the
washing of water by the word, That he might present it to
himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or
any such thing; but that it should be holy and without
blemish.” Ephesians 5:26,27.
ONCE GLORIOUS, ALWAYS GLORIOUS? CAN THE
GLORY FADE?
“Yea, they despised the pleasant [glorious] land,
they believed not his word.” Psalm 106:24.
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4.
The Bible does not teach, “Once saved, always
saved.” Isaiah describes those whose minds are overcome
by Babylonian wine [false doctrines] of the King of the
North as he enters the Glorious land in the last days.
“Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of
Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which
are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome
with wine!
2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one [the
King of the north], which as a tempest of hail and a
destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters
overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall
be trodden under feet:
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of
the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty
fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon
it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown
of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of
his people,
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in
judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to
the gate.
7 But they also have erred through [Babylonian] wine,
and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and
the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are
swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through
strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.”
Isaiah 28:1-7.
“And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory
is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was
taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.”
1 Samuel 4:21.
“As the storm approaches, a large class who have
professed faith in the third angel‟s message, but have not
been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon
their position and join the ranks of the opposition. By
uniting with the world and par-taking of its spirit, they
have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and
when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the
easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who
once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive
and mislead souls.” Great Controversy, 608.
THE FIRST ENTRANCE
OF THE KING OF THE
NORTH
INTO
THE
GLORIOUS LAND
The first entrance of the King
of the North occurred in the
courtyard phase of the
ministry of Jesus when He
was to appear on earth [the courtyard of the heavenly
sanctuary] as the Lamb of God. Pagan Rome had
conquered the land of Judea and Jerusalem by 63 AD and
was there ready to devour the manchild as soon as He was
born.
THE SECOND ENTRANCE OF THE KING OF THE
NORTH INTO THE GLORIOUS LAND
The second entrance of the King of the North into the
Glorious land occurred when
Papal Rome exalted itself to
replace Jesus Christ in the
temple
of
God—the
Christian church.
This
occurred in the Holy Place
ministry of Jesus Christ as
our great High Priest in the
heavenly sanctuary. Papal
Rome took away the “daily”—the continual—ministry of
Jesus Christ in the Holy Place by taking away the continual
presence of the shewbread, the continual burning of the
incense at the golden altar, and the continual burning of the
seven lamps on the golden candlestick by taking away the
Bible by keeping it in an unknown tongue, teaching people
to ask forgiveness from the priests, and by persecuting
those who let the light of the Bible shine into the dark
world. The Papacy was so successful in this attack that for
1335 years the knowledge of Christ‟s continual ministry in
the heavenly sanctuary was forgotten. By 1844 no one
knew that the sanctuary that Jesus was to cleanse (as
predicted in Daniel 8:14) was the heavenly sanctuary.
THE THIRD ENTRANCE OF THE KING OF THE
NORTH INTO THE GLORIOUS LAND
The third and final
time that the King of
the North enters the
Glorious Land is
during the Most Holy
Place
Phase
of
Christ‟s high priestly
ministry. The King of
the North [Papal
Rome] tries to take
away the “yearly” just in the same way as it had taken
away the “daily.” But the Bible does not predict that the
“yearly” would be taken away as it had predicted that the
“daily” would be taken away. Instead it says just the
opposite: “Behold, I have set before thee an open door,
and no man can shut it.” Revelation 3:8.
The prophet Daniel says that the King of the North
would enter the Glorious Land on its way to attack
Egypt—the King of the South. Daniel 11:40,41. Egypt
represents a global spiritual power in the New Testament
period—the
power
of
“Atheism,
Communism,
Evolutionism.” It was this “a new manifestation of satanic
power” that gave the Papacy its deadly wound in 1798.

The King of the North would push at the Papacy—
the King of the North for many decades after 1798. In fact,
the Viet Nam War in the 1960‟s and 1970‟s was still the
King of the South—Communism—pushing at the King of
the North—Papal Rome. The King of the South won that
war.
But the King of the North would turn the battle around
and [in alliance with the United States] finally reach the
spiritual land of Egypt by the late 1980‟s. Through the
influence and actions of the “Holy Alliance” of Reagan and
the pope, starting with Poland, a whirlwind of revolutions
toppled many of the communist Eastern European
countries like dominos. Then in 1991, the mighty Soviet
Union fell as well.
This means that by that time, the King of the North—
Papal Rome—must have entered the Glorious Land.
HOW DOES THE KING OF THE NORTH ENTER THE
GLORIOUS LAND BY 1991?
Now we will
give a history of
the entrance of the
King
of
the
North—the
Papacy—into the
Glorious Land—
the
General
Conference
sponsored
“Seventh-day
Adventist” church system. This entrance of the King of
the North is a gradual, stealthy entrance.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you
of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write
unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly
men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus
Christ.” Jude 1:3,4.
This is how it happened:
1901-1903: HIERARCHIAL (PAPAL) CHURCH
GOVERNMENT STRUCTURE CHOSEN. Today the
General Conference of SDA has a church government
structure that is basically identical to the Roman Catholic
church.
1922: Worldly accreditation accepted in Medical
field: Catholic Medical system received. This is seen in
the fact that in 1996, the PORTER SDA HOSPITAL
MERGED WITH THE CATHOLIC HOSPITAL IN
DENVER, COLORADO!
1929: Worldly accreditation accepted in Educational
field: Catholic Education system received. This is seen
when Samuel Bacchiochi graduated from Gregorian
University in Rome and went straight to Andrews
University to teach future ministers in the SDA seminary.
All his credits at the Jesuit University in Rome were
accepted by Andrews University.
1955-56: The secret meetings of Protestant leaders,
Donald Barnhouse and Walter Martin with Seventh-day
Adventist leaders. In these meetings three doctrines were
traded away by the Seventh-day Adventist church in order
to be proclaimed acceptable to the Protestants.
The first question was very quickly settled when SDA
leaders were asked, Do you believe in the Trinity? This
SDA leaders quickly affirmed that this false concept of
God was worshipped by Adventists.
Then the SDA leaders lost the real Jesus when they
traded away the Bible doctrine of Christ coming in our
sinful flesh for a Catholic Jesus who came in sinless
flesh.
The SDA leaders lost where Jesus is when they
agreed that Christ’s work in the Most Holy Place of the
heavenly sanctuary was NOT VITAL for our salvation.
Instead, “it was all done at the cross.”
As a result of these concessions, the Gen. Conf. was
welcomed by Protestants as a sister church.
This
positioned the SDA church with the Protestants in the Holy
Place.
1976: Under court oath, Neil Wilson testifies: “Although
it is true that …the SDA Church …took a distinctly antiRoman Catholic viewpoint, …that attitude on the
Church’s part was nothing more than a manifestation
of widespread anti-popery among conservative
protestant denominations, and which has now been
assigned to the HISTORICAL TRASH HEAP so far as
the SDA Church is concerned.”
1977—B.B. BEACH GIVES GOLD MEDAL TO POPE
The words of
the
fourth
commandment
are the same as
in the Catholic
cathecism.
1979 Ministry
Magazine goes Ecumenical: Ministry magazine is sent to
37,000 non SDA clergy “representing a myriad of faith
persuasions.” Only 16,000 go to SDA ministers.
“The Ministerial Association is dedicated to
stimulating
supportive
dialogue
among
denominations.”
1980 Using subtle
wording,
the
worship of the
Catholic concept of
the Trinity [one
god (not Godhead)
who is composed of
three “co-eternal”
persons]
is
officially
incorporated
into
the 27 Statements of Belief at the 1980 Dallas GC.
How do you join the World Council of Churches?
Belief in the Trinity is the only requirement for
membership in the WCC.
1980:
ECUMENISM BECOMES OFFICIAL SDA
BELIEF:
In the 27 statements:
12. The Church: defined as “all communities that
confess Jesus.” This definition includes all Christian
denominations. This definition marks a rejection of
the Second Angel‟s message.
The definition of the church should be:
“Here is the patience of the saints, Here are they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of
Jesus.” Revelation 14:12.
“God has a church. It is not the great cathedral,
neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the
various denominations
(FAITH
COMMUNITIES); it
is the people who love
God and keep His
commandments.”

The next
two
statements of belief in
the 28 Statements of
Fundamental Beliefs in the SDA Church are:
13. The Remnant Church,
which is defined as part of “the universal church.”
and
14. Unity in the Body of Christ [the “church].”
In this statement we are told that this unity is based
on the belief in the Trinity. This is exactly what Pope
John Paul II teaches in his 1995 encyclical, “Ut Unim Sint”
[“That They May Be One”].
In the 27 Fundamental Beliefs which were voted at
Dallas in 1980, there was NO definition of the Second
Angel’s message, no identification of Babylon, her fall,
or of God’s call to come out of her.
In the 27 Fundamental Beliefs there was NO
definition of the Third Angel’s message, no
identification of the beast, his image, or the mark.
1981: Now a commercial entity, the General Conference
hires a Catholic lawyer to trademark various names,
including “Seventh-day Adventist” under commercial
law.
Many little Seventh-day Adventist churches, not
sponsored by the Gen. Conf. are threatened with a
commercial lawsuit for using the spiritual name that
identifies them as standing on the firm platform of truth—
the 3 Angel‟s messages.
1982: SDA church signs B.E.M. document
“Over 100 theologians recommend unanimously to
transmit the Lima Text of Baptism, Eucharist, and
Ministry—for the study and official response of the
churches.
“…A vital step of the ecumenical process.”
Dr. Raoul Dederen, Andrews Univ., signs for all
SDA members.
1983: After 26 years, Walter Martin writes to the Gen.
Conf., “Do you still hold to what we officially agreed upon
in Questions on Doctrine in 1957?”
W. Richard Lesher, VP of General Conference,
officially responds, “The answer is Yes.”
1984: 1339 Hungarian SDA’s were disfellowshipped by
Gen. Conf. President, Neil Wilson, for protesting the
ecumenical involvement of the SDA church in Hungary.
Ellen White predicted this apostasy in 1904 vision and
wrote: “Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way
of the new movement.” 1 SM 204.
1985: New SDA Ecumenical Hymnal: Truly Shocking:
In this hymnal the Catholic “New Jerusalem Bible” is
used more than 2 ½ times more than from the
Protestant King James Version!

sun worship is taught: “When I fall on my knees, With
my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy on me.”
Hymn No. 471: Grant Us Your Peace. This hymn is
virtually identical to the hymn sung to the pope at the
Vatican Square: “Father, give us your peace.”

Hymn No. 402: By Christ Redeemed. In this
Catholic hymn, SDA’s sing about Transubstantiation
and the Eucharist: “His broken body in our stead Is here,
in this memorial bread.”
According to Ex-Jesuit priest, Alberto Rivera, all the
mainstream churches were taken over by 1980. …He
was told that a secret sign was to be given to the Jesuits
world-wide when the ecumenical movement had
successfully wiped out Protestantism. “The sign was to be
when a President of the U.S. took his oath of office facing
an obelisk.
For the first time in U.S. history, the swearing in
ceremonies were moved to the West front of the Capitol,
and President Reagan faced the Washington Monument.
This happened January 20, 1981.”

Now we know the SDA church in Poland was not
disfellowshipped when in:
1999: The SDA church in Poland signed an agreement
with the Roman Catholic Church after 15 years of
dialogue. The agreement states:
“The SDA Church …in its teaching and service,
cultivates the most important principles of Catholic
faith, especially the belief in the Blessed Trinity.”
Now we know why the Trinity worship was taught in
the 2006, and 2012 Sabbath School Lesson Quarterlies.
Ellen White predicted:

spiritualism, the stealthy but rapid progress of the

As we stand firmly on the firm platform of the true
Seventh-day Adventist Church—the Three Angels’
Messages, we will be the Glorious Land that will light
the whole earth with the glory of God in the great Loud
Cry—the repeat of the 3 Angels’ Messages with great
power.
“In my very girlhood the Lord saw fit to open before
me the glories of heaven. I was in vision taken to heaven,
and the angel said to me, “Look!” I looked to the world as
it was in dense darkness. The agony that came over me
was indescribable as I saw this darkness. Again the word
came, “Look ye.” And again I looked intensely over the
world, and I began to see jets of light like stars dotted all
through this darkness; and then I saw another and another
added light, and so all through this moral darkness the starlike lights were increasing. And the angel said, “These are
they that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and are
obeying the words of Christ. These are the light of the
world; and if it were not for these lights, the judgments of
God would immediately fall upon the transgressors of
God's law.” I saw then these little jets of light growing

Occasionally one of these lights would begin to grow dim,
and others would go out, and every time this occurred there
was sadness and weeping in heaven. And some of the

brightness was far-reaching, and many more lights were

the rays of light came directly from Jesus, to form these
