lost. So when it comes to weight - we no longer want to use the term losing weight, so from now on I would like you to start using the term

Excess weight is an age old problem affecting a high percentage of the
population. Unfortunately this also includes children.

The nation is becoming more obese than ever before, causing many
additional health problems such as diabetes, heart problems, high blood
pressure, joint problems, rheumatism and arthritis.
In 2009, almost a quarter of adults (22% of men and 24% of women aged
16 or over) in England were classified as obese.
I myself have suffered with overeating and binge eating disorder and
actually ended up in rehab to face my food addiction. For many many years
I was hungry for love not food; this was due to my childhood which you can
read about in my book Hungry for Love. The book goes in depth as to how
and why the food addiction started, developed and also highlights how I
overcame it.
You can overcome this
If you are one of the unfortunate people suffering from excess weight and
continue to battle with this problem then please read on to find the many
solutions available on how you can release your weight permanently

Questions to ask yourself
In order to release your weight permanently it is vital that you know
why you are overweight. Is it because you have just had a baby? Have you
had a weight problem for as long as you can remember? Are you an
emotional eater? Are you addicted to food? Are you currently experiencing
a lot of stress in your life? Do you lead an active or sedentary lifestyle? Are
your portions sizes too large? Do you have an overactive thyroid? Or do
you eat too much of one type of food group? Are your meals well
balanced? Do you tend to eat a lot of processed food? Are you hooked on
junk food?
There are many things to think about when it comes to your specific weight
problem.
No two people are the same, so no run of the mill diet is
necessarily going to work for you. It is important that one can identify their
reason for carrying excess weight.
Some Answers and Solutions
There are many reasons why one is overweight or obese. Deep within your
soul you may know the answer.
Can you release your weight
permanently? Do you need professional help? Would certain treatments

or products help you? Whatever the reason and whatever way you choose
to go is entirely up to you, the main thing to do is ACT NOW!
Treatments to suit
Counselling is a form of treatment that can help people who are emotional
eaters or are addicted to food. CBT is a form of therapy that is proven to
help and recommended by the UK National Institute for Clinical Excellence
(NICE). Hypnotherapy is also a successful method proven to work for some
people.
If your relationship with food has been unhealthy for many years then you
may want to consider rehab. Many people do not realise that food
addiction can be just as serious as alcohol and drug addiction.
Life coaching is another form of treatment that can help those who have
developed certain bad habits and need to set up new healthy habits as well
as some form of structure to improve their lifestyle.

Personal trainers can help kick start you into a new exercise regime which
you should endeavour to incorporate into your new lifestyle.
A nutritionist can also assist in identifying particular problem foods and
subsequently formulate a healthy eating plan that suits your particular
body type.
Before embarking on any exercise regime or a new way of eating it
is advisable that you seek medical advice first especially if you suffer from
any of the ailments listed earlier.
Consider your options and make sure you choose a treatment that suits
your needs and your pocket. You no longer have to put up with this excess
weight. You can release your excess weight permanently. All you need
to do is stay committed to your decision and tell yourself that you deserve
to have a new healthy slim body.
Natural Remedies
If you decide to use products ensure that you seek medical advice
first. Always remember to put your health as top priority and choose ones

that have the least, or better still, no side effects. Products can assist in
releasing excess weight although they should not be relied upon. Fast
weight release at the start of your journey can give you a boost and
encourage you to continue onto your desired weight. You could do a liquid
fast for the first 30 days to kick start your weight release. Incorporate
soups, juices and smoothies. This will help get rid of cravings and shrink
your stomach. If this does not suit you, then you could try the 5:2 fast,
where you eat for five days in the week and fast for two days in the week.
Or another option is to eat all of your food for the day by 4pm. It is best to
try out what suits you best, so experiment with this. Eliminate sugar,
white flour products and processed foods – this is the most effective
way to release excess weight.
Natural products are best, and supplements may also aid in the efficient
release of weight. Chromium supports sugar metabolism, kelp supports
weight management.
Apple cider vinegar, lemon or lime in warm
water first thing in the morning can aid weight release as it is a great
cleanser. Cold pressed coconut oil as a replacement for cooking oil and
butter is a great alternative and can also help stop sugar cravings.
Supplements such as B Vitamins, Chromium, 5Htp are also good for
reducing sugar cravings and increasing serotonin levels, which will help

with mood swings and depression. Cinnamon can help with lowering blood
sugar level by mimicking the actions of insulin, the hormone that usually
regulates
glucose
in
our
body.
Green Juice
Drinking green juices first thing in the morning is a great way to start your
day and help to alkalise the body which is the best environment for
releasing weight. The chlorophyll from the green vegetables is essential
for the human body to function well.
Here are a few green juice recipes. You can mix and blend whatever you like,
ensure that you have more greens and vegetables than fruit. You can alternate
the spinach with kale or better still spirulina which is high in protein, amino
acids and other nutrients.

Play around with your ingredients and use fruits and vegetables that you
like, use more vegetables than fruits. You can add things like turmeric,
cinnamon, seeds, nuts, cocoa powder, vanilla and honey; all with different
healing properties.
Take care of your colon!!
You can use colon cleanse products to do this, have a colonic irrigation
twice a year or have regular home enemas. You can purchase home enema
kits for under £15. Cleansing your colon is a good way to kick starts your
body into a healthier way of living. It helps get rid of harmful toxins and
pollutants, decreases gas and bloating; subsequently giving you a flatter
stomach. It helps you release excess weight more easily and naturally as
well as energising you.
Focussed Eating
Eat slowly and consciously!!! Chew each mouthful at least 20 times. Do not
be distracted whilst eating, distractions make you eat more than you
realise, especially the television, so turn it off, put your phone and laptops
away and focus on your eating. Chew slowly and allow your body to take
the nutrients it needs in order to function well. If you are distracted by

these outside influences you will be surprised how much more you can and
will eat.
As mentioned earlier depending on the source and cause of your excess
weight determines which product or treatment you should use. Rather
than relying solely on the products I would highly recommend dealing with
the cause at the source either through therapy or life coaching and the
products can be used as an aid. Do not under estimate the power of
emotional eating. When eating on your emotions, you are trying to fill an
emotional gap and it will never feel full with food because that gap does not
need food. Remember food is for fuelling the body only.
I would like to emphasise dealing with the core issues of your
emotional eating in order to get rid of them once and for
all! Remember that you cannot fill the emotional and spiritual gap with
food and if you have had a life long battle with overeating and binge eating,
which are also eating disorders this new way of eating can be daunting.
Have a support network around you to help with any emotional issues that
may and probably will come up for you. Releasing weight is not just about
the weight, it has a lot to do with your relationship with food. It would be
very beneficial for you to do a food journal where you list the time of day,
Copyright Yvonne J Douglas 2015
what you ate, why you ate it, what you were thinking and feeling at the
time, also note down how you felt after eating a particular food. This will
give you some great insight into why and how you eat.
Imagine now how wonderful your life will be with no more yoyo
dieting. Visualise yourself in an outfit you long to wear, make that image
bright and keep it in your minds eye.
