My thanks goes to Rotorua and Taupo members especially Toni Sharpe and Bailey Wood, for their assistance. We now have a determination by a small number of Tokoroa people to see the club start to grow once again. While the meeting attracted only 4 potential new members we had a number of apologies for others who could not attend on the evening of the meeting At time of writing Low membership clubs (fewer than 17 members) as at 3rd April 2017 Area B1 Area B2 Area B3 Area B4 Area B5 All clubs have fewer than 17 members as at 4th April 2017 Bell Block and New Plymouth Club and Ngamotu Breakfast are below 17 members 3 clubs under 17 members registered, Dinsdale is now 19 Members Hamilton and Lower Waikato are less than 17 members 3 clubs less than 17 members Division B We have 15 clubs with less than 17 members, this measure was taken immediately after the Dues period ended. I know there have been a number of dues paid since, this measure highlights a concerning aspect of membership renewal. I believe a more proactive stance is necessary for clubs to be financially sound and their membership base stable Challenges, Issues & how they were handled We have had two Clubs that did not reach the membership dues cut off, Stratford Toastmasters has since remitted for 8 members and have 2 new member fees to be paid taking the club to 10 members, Motoroa have yet to achieve numbers. Successes & how they were recognised Membership is a concerning aspect of the operation of clubs in Division B, I believe that some of the change in clubs like Motoroa is due to the transient nature of the working population. It highlights the need for clubs to be constantly aware of the need for promotion and diligent regarding the quality and performance of the meetings.
