MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
Becky Mauldin • Club President
With spring on the way members have much to look forward to at Turtle Point. Easter will be here before we know
it, along with the much anticipated annual Easter egg hunt. So get your basket ready, the hunt will be on. I can't
wait to hear who finds the golden and silver eggs.
From the entranceway to the club house, spring will bring on the much anticipated foliage and the beautiful colors
of spring. The entranceway that was landscaped several years ago will be mature enough to really look great and the
golf course will be green again
With operations running smoothly at the club, the board is glad that the club is able to proceed with some much
needed updates. As you come down the front drive you will notice that we have made improvements to the paving.
We are also in the process of updating the pool house. I know everyone will appreciate the enhanced facilities this
summer.
There are so many ways to enjoy your club, come on out!

a row at the #1 spot. On the girls team 8 of
the top 10 are members of Turtle Point.
Good luck to everyone!

POOL AND WELLNESS
There are many aspects of Wellness…emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, occupational and physical.
Right now I would like to start with physical health. If you don’t have your physical health, what do
you have? Not much, right? In the September 12, 2016 Time Magazine, Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky, Genetic
Metabolic Neurologist, “the most effective, potent way that we can improve the quality of life and
duration of life is exercise.”

CLUBHOUSE NEWS & EVENTS
FROM THE MANAGER Mark Grisham • General Manager
It’s a misnomer that we are coming off our “slow time” of the year. This year has blessed us with a
very mild winter and our members have taken full advantage of the great weather and activity at
the club has been at an all time high. We had aggressively scheduled some major projects during
the months of winter, the largest being the complete remodeling of the Pool Bathhouse and
building a new Tiki Bar. Both of these will be finished in time for the opening of our pool season
– which will also see the newest addition to our great staff here at Turtle Point: Peggy Claiborne.
I am very excited to see Peggy coming on board as our Pool and Wellness Director starting April
1. Under her guidance I expect the pool to reach higher levels than ever before this year. Service will be greatly increased
– Programs for young and young at heart will be offered all summer long – and her endless energy and eye for detail will create
the most amazing atmosphere for our members enjoying the pool this summer.
Chef Kyle is unveiling his new Spring Menu the first week of April. He has listened to our members and has created some
wonderful dishes – both old and new – all with an emphasis on presentation. I think my favorite will be the Red White &
Bleu salad that Carole Graves had on her menu at Sweet Basil – and thank you Carole for sharing.
As always if there is anything I can do for you please don’t hesitate to call.
