They are doing this to raise an awareness of Pancreatic Cancer which is known as the silent cancer because it has no known symptoms so this leads to a 3% survival rate. On Monday 11 July my sister, our friends and I will be hosting a Cake Sale school to help raise money for this worthy charity. Cancer is something that has affected many of our family and friends so we will do anything to help them. If you would like to find out more about this charity then please search: www.rowcornwall.co.uk or visit their ‘Just Giving’ page: www.justgiving.com/ fundraising/row-cornwallfor-pancreatic-cancer Diary Dates 2016 - Spring Term July 2016 Monday 11th July - Cake Sale for Pancreatic Cancer Heart Space - 20p donations Monday 11th to Friday 15 July - Year 1 - Grand Garden Sale Monday 11th - Year 6 Poltair transition day Tuesday 12th - Year 6 Poltair transition day Friday 15th - End of Summer Term Clubs - no afterschool clubs running after this date. Messages for Children Dear Parents/Carers - we are receiving lots of calls to the office asking us to pass messages onto children. A lot of these calls are coming late in the day and we are not always able to disturb the class in order to pass on the messages. We are very anxious that a child won’t receive a message one day and we would like to urge parents to discuss arrangements with their children before the school day starts. Many Thanks ParentPay - Important Information School Dinners - We have had a high volume of children that have not been put down for any meals this week and have not brought in a packed lunch. May we remind parents that meals must be ordered and paid for before midnight on the Sunday. Even if your child is FSM or UIFSM they are still required to preorder. Failure to pre-order will result in the office calling you and requesting that you bring in a packed lunch for that week. Busy Bees - You must book your child into Busy Bees by 12.00 mid day on the day you require childcare. We will no longer be accepting late bookings due to staff to child ratios.
