16. What lands resisted Napoleon? How did Napoleon control lands that he conquered?
17. What led to the first defeat of Napoleon? What did his opponents do to get him out of power? Why did
he come back and how was he defeated again?
18. Describe how Spanish controlled Latin American society was structured.
19. How did Brazil gain its independence?
20. Describe conservative, liberal and radical philosophies of the 1800’s.
21. Describe nationalism as well as positive and negative effects of Nationalism.
22. Why was there further revolution in France (Third Republic)?

24. Describe how Germany became one unified nation.
