Selwyn Recce Project and
Proprietary Database (2011-12)
The Company has carried out systematic regional exploration programs over a
large land mass directly east of the Yukon/NWT border and has staked a
considerable land position in the area – a total of 100,278 acres
The region is considered to be prospective for the presence of Carlin-type gold
deposits as well as carbonate-hosted and sedimentary-exhalative ("sedex")
style silver-lead-zinc deposits and sediment-hosted copper deposits
The area has garnered considerable attention recently with the discovery of
Carlin-style mineralization in the Yukon at ATAC Resources’ (TSX.V: ATC)
Osiris gold zone discovery
Aben owns a proprietary database that has been assembled through
decades of systematic mineral exploration in the Mackenzie Mountains
constituting the largest geological database for the region (over $8.5
million spent in field work and data compilation/analysis to create the
database)

Selwyn Recce Project and
Proprietary Database (2011-2012)
Field crews completed a very large scale regional reconnaissance program on Aben’s Selwyn Recce
Project in 2011 that included geological mapping, regional prospecting, geochemical surveys and
geophysical surveys
The bulk of the field work was carried out on 18 high priority targets with many thousands of samples
having been collected including 7368 soil samples, 681 rock samples, 668 silt samples, 14 heavy
mineral bulk samples and 51 petrographic analysis samples
Aben also re-analyzed the historical geochemical samples for gold which had never been done before
All of this has culminated in a proprietary database exclusive to Aben which consists of 21,000
geochemical samples (assayed for precious and base metals) in a very underexplored area of
the NWT
The land mass over which the database covers is roughly 36,000 square kilometres
The 2011 field work in particular was successful in delineating four high-priority targets warranting
further exploration
•
ENYO target: silver-zinc showing
•
Suriso target: prospective for intrusion-related gold systems
•
Bonk target: base metal showing with extensive 6 km horizon
•
Energizer target: potential for Carlin-style gold mineralization
