Marlborough is a special place for wine. Perhaps it’s our cloudless skies or mild
temperatures or well-drained soils. It could be our long growing season or our
sustainably-farmed vineyards. Whatever the reason, the result is wines that are
marked by piercingly vibrant fruit flavours and lively acidity.

OUR WINEMAKING
With every step of the winemaking process our goal is to preserve the incredible
aromatics and scintillating structure of our wines. After harvesting, we keep the fruit
as cool as possible to retain bright, fresh Marlborough fruit flavours. Gentle crushing
and cold fermentations help to preserve the personality of the variety and the
influence of the site. Our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris are kept in stainless steel
tanks to maintain zesty fruit characteristics. Our Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are aged
in new and used French oak barriques to add complexity and tannins.

OUR WINES
SAUVIGNON BLANC
Our Sauvignon Blanc style is bright, forward and direct.
Vivaciously crisp, it showcases gooseberry, citrus and fresh
tropical fruit flavours that linger through the finish.
P I N OT G R I S
Our Pinot Gris perfectly balances enticing aromatics
with firm minerality. It has a richly structured palate and
is fu ll of luscious jasmine, citrus and pear.
C H A R D O N N AY
Marlborough Chardonnay is known for its finesse
and ours is no exception to that rule. Elegantly styled
and expressive, it displays ripe stone fruit flavours
and a long, softly structured palate.
POHUTUKAWA SYMBOL
The floral symbol on our wine labels is the Pohutukawa, a Maori word
meaning “drenched with mist.” It is an evergreen tree known as
the unofficial New Zealand “Christmas Tree” due to its bright
red blooms that emerge every December.

As is the tradition at Dashwood, our Pinot Noir is
bold, fresh, direct, elegant and balanced. It delivers
ripe, black cherry fruit notes and tannins that
a re soft, broad and well-integrated.
PRESERVING OUR LAND
We have been tending vineyards and making wine in Marlborough for over
twenty years. Our home is important to us, and we see our role as a caretaker of
this part of the world. We strive to minimize or eliminate any activities that are
wasteful or harmful to the environment so that future generations can continue
to enjoy our extraordinary landscape.
