Monday:
Objectives: Students will demonstrate hardware knowledge in depth associated with information
systems. Students will identify the different computer classifications,
mini, mainframe and microcomputer. Students will identify major hardware components and their
functions such as the CPU, input and output peripherals in depth, and storage systems and devices. The
student demonstrates knowledge of the different software and emerging technologies, A. identify new
and emerging classes of software
Activities: 1. Students will demonstrate their comprehension of computer basics Input and Output
devices , locating and describing 4 each input and output devices and using Edmodo will submit.
2. Students will use their knowledge of input /output devices and add to their online Prezi or Thinglink
with this knowledge and images.

Activities: 1. Students will actively participate and follow Mrs. Rogers as new lesson is opened;
Specialized Input and Output devices, specifically Optical Character Recognition.
2. Students will create a Word .doc and include images of Specialized I/O devices including 3 OCR input
devices and 2 non OCR input devices and how they are used and submit in Edmodo.
3. Students will add this new I/O specialized device knowledge to their Prezi creation.

Activities: 1. Students will continue with creation of project using Prezi or Thinglink illustrating
knowledge of new I/O specialized devices .
2. Students will examine Storage Basics text in Edmodo recognizing previously covered storage devices
and investigating new types not previously seen.

functions such as the CPU, input and output peripherals in depth, and storage systems and devices. The
student demonstrates knowledge of the different software and emerging technologies, A. identify new
and emerging classes of software.
Activities:1. Students will actively participate as Mrs. Rogers explains and reviews Storage Basics defining
the many storage options available with the use of a computer.
2. Students will use the acquired Storage Basics knowledge and create a Word.doc and upload images
representing 5 types of storage devices and how they are used.
3. Students will add the new information covering storage devices to their online presentation Prezi or
Thinglink.

Common storage devices.
