THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:
“The best way to raise positive children in a negative world, is to have positive parents who love them unconditionally and serve as excellent role models.” - Zig Ziglar
Dear Parents
A very warm, Trinityhouse Heritage Hill welcome to all our wonderful new families and children! This school
year kicked off with a bang! There was an absolute buzz of excitement among our “old hands” and there were
a few worried faces from little children reporting for the first time. Within an hour, the school was functioning
with purpose and the tension had subsided. Our children are amazing and have settled so well! Any tears
quickly dry up when the fun starts! Not only have we enrolled many new children that were not here at the
end of last year, but we were happy to see all our new teachers report for duty. I wish to welcome onto our
Pre-Primary Staff the following staff members: Miss Candice-Anne Venter (Gr 00 Butterflies Class Teacher),
Mrs Debbie de la Rey (Music Teacher), Miss Corné Bouwer (Gr 000 Owlets Class Assistant), Ms Ruth
Rahlogo (Gr 000 Penguins Class Assistant) and Ms Charmaine Mokgatlhe (Gr 0 rolling Class Assistant.)
These people have a sincere love for our little people and are energetic and dead keen to make a
difference. I trust their association with the school will be a happy one.
We are looking forward to a very blessed, busy and happy year, forever trusting that the Lord will guide and
protect us.
With fondest love and hugs
Jacky

TRINITYHOUSE HERITAGE HILL PRE-PRIMARY
DAILY SCHOOL HOURS
We kindly request that all children be at school by 07:45 as the school
programme begins daily at 08:00. This allows for at least 1 5 minutes
for free play outside and time to reassure any unsettled little people.
Please be reminded that we open our school gate at 06:30 and have a supervised waiting class facility in the Aftercare Centre until 07:00 to accommodate parents who have to drop their children off early in order to
avoid heavy traffic when leaving for work. Children are then taken to
their waiting class facilities which will happen on a rotational basis in their
respective classrooms from 07:00 until 07:30. The best approach in getting your little one to settle is to drop off and go in the mornings, with a
quick hug and goodbye. The normal school programme runs from 08:00
until 12:45. We will accommodate children up until 13:30 in their respective waiting classes. Any child not collected by this time, will be taken to
Aftercare. You will then be billed for the Aftercare service.
FETCHING YOUR CHILD EARLY
Should you need to fetch your child early, please report to
our Receptionist first, and sign your child out in the book
at Reception. She will then issue you with a sign out slip
which needs to be presented to your child’s teacher who
will then release your child. NO TEACHER WILL LET ANY
CHILD LEAVE THE CLASS WITHOUT THIS SIGN
OUT SLIP. This procedure is to ensure the safety and
security of our children at all times.
Should anyone other than yourself or regular transport
collect your child, please email the office at
[email protected]
regarding the change in arrangement. Proof of identity
will be required before your child is released.
“NO HAT, NO PLAY” POLICY
Your child is required to have their school hat at school on a
daily basis, clearly labelled with their name. Please apply sun
block every morning before coming to school in order to protect our children from our harsh African sun.
NB. PLEASE REMOVE ANY DRAWSTRINGS NEAR THE
NECK/FACE FROM CLOTHING YOUR CHILD MAY WEAR
TO SCHOOL. Drawstrings pose a threat of strangulation
if they get caught in jungle gyms etc.
SCHOOL TELEPHONE NUMBER
Our telephone number is (012)
003 1395. There may be an odd
occasion when our Receptionist,
Mrs Charmaine Noble, is unable to
answer the telephone. Please leave
a voice message and she will get
back to you.
CAMPUS ACCESS CAR DECALS
Each family is issued with two security decals. You may purchase a third
at a cost of R30. For security reasons, no family will be issued with
more than three decals. You can collect/purchase your car decals from
our Receptionist.
PHOTOGRAPHS
From time to time during the year, we send and
use photographs of our children to the Newspaper, our Trinityhouse Heritage Hill website, Facebook and for other marketing purposes. If you
DO NOT want your child to be featured,
please e-mail our Receptionist at
[email protected]
by no later than 31st January 2017. Please make
sure that you have also completed and returned
the marketing permission form that you received
in your Welcome Envelopes at your child’s Welcome Party at the end of last year. You may
hand your form in to your child’s teacher or at
Reception.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
At Trinityhouse Pre-Primary, the Fruit of the Spirit
are an integral part of our daily routine. The children
learn how to practice being kind and loving every day
according to the “Fruit of the Week.” As from next
week, we will introduce a “Family Fruit of the Spirit” that you can implement at home. Children learn
best through imitation and example. Next week’s
“Family Fruit of the Spirit” is PATIENCE. Whilst
driving, show your little one how to practice ‘Patience’
by not jumping the traffic light when it turns red.
Calmly wait your turn in the Supermarket queue.
Around the dinner table, let everyone have a turn to
speak and listen to others speaking, assisting each
other to practice patience whilst waiting their turn.
Have a wonderful week and
God Bless!
Jacky and her team
