MONDAY COFFEE MORSELS
JUNE 13, 2016
Sandy Gaub, Activities Director
Debbie Gretsky, Assistant Activities Director
Pledge of Allegiance
This Land is Your Land-Ellen Bromley
PLEASE REMEMBER TO
SILENCE YOUR PHONES OR PUT THEM ON VIBRATE,
while the meeting is going on.
Please show our Sponsors and your fellow residents some courtesy while they
are making their announcements. The tables and chairs are not to be taken down
until the meeting has ended. If you must leave, please do so quietly.
Phil's announcements:
Flag Day is tomorrow. Please fly your flags if you have one.
Gate clickers are for entering the park only, please don't use them if you are
leaving. There is a sensor in the road to let you out.
Bird droppings are a problem and maintenance is aware of it. They will get it
cleaned up when their work load allows it. Keep in mind that the birds also eat
mosquitos so they are doing some good.
If you are parking at the Lodge you need a permit and should only be parking
there for 5 days.
We had two new owners and renters this week.
OUR SPONSORS TODAY WERE:
Robinson Golf Cars-480-983-1234 or 928-537-9999 (Show Low)
Cheryl from Cool Foam Roofing-480-832-3334
We had a lot going on this morning, including a presentation on the road paving.
You can get a copy of the street closures in Activities. Sid Stephen talked about
the Computer Club. He announced that if we don't get some monitors to be in the
Computer Room it will be closed.
Please refer to your calendar for Activities announcements, everything we have
coming up is on it. We ask that you post your calendar somewhere that you can
refer to it as to what is going on. The calendar is up to date.
We are going to try something new at next week's Monday Coffee. We will start
with the Pledge, the song, Phil's announcements and our sponsors. After that
there will be fewer Activities announcements because you will already have a
copy of the Monday Morsels in front of you. Tickets will be sold as usual and
there will still be a sign-up table. If you have questions about anything in your
copy of the Morsels you can ask. If you have an announcement to make that is
NOT in the Morsels, you will be given time to do that. If you have information you
need in the Morsels, the info needs to be given to Activities by Thursday in
writing. This is an experiment to see if we can streamline coffee. We have had so
many compaints from residents about so much talking in the back of the room
that we are trying anything we can to make coffee run smoother. After all of the
announcements you can socialize. Debbie and I will be there to answer any
questions you may have.
