The Piedmont
Livin In The Foot Of The Mountain
The piedmont’s terrain is very hilly. It consists of many
rolling hills with valleys. The land is well suited for
agriculture. Some of the natural resources here include;
cotton, soybeans, wheat, timber, beat cattle, dairy, chicken
broilers, and cudzu. The climate in the piedmont is cold in
winters at around 57 degrees and it has hot summers at
around 89 degrees. Snow is very unusual to happen but
when it does, it accumulates less than an inch. Some major
cities here include Atlanta, Augusta, Macon, Columbus, and
Athens. You should go visit them. The major river in the
piedmont is the Chattahoochee river. Also Some major lakes
include Lake Sidney Lanier .The piedmont has lots of
spectacular attractions like six flags, stone mountain, and
coca cola world. Six Flags is the most popular family
attraction that contains many thrill rides such as the joker
which throws you 72 feet in the air, and the Superman which
is 106 feet tall, for the people that enjoy wild rides and
adventure this would be the best place to go, but if you don’t
then the recommended place for you would be very
interested to go to Helen, Georgia where you will find many
peaceful rides such as when you go down the Chattahoochee
river with a floaty.
The Appalachian plateau is the smallest region
in Georgia. Its terrain is mainly flat sloping land
over low-lying areas. In the plateau you can go
hang gliding from the top of lookout mountain
covering all the beautiful green land there is.
Also you can go caving in our many caves such
as the Ellison cave which is the 12th most
deepest cave in the U.S. there’s also the only
coal mines in Georgia which are located here.
The plateau’s climate is much cooler than the
rest of GA because of its higher elevation. It also
gets the same amount of rain as the whole state
but it’s more likely to form into snow in the
colder seasons. In the summer the temperature
can reach up to 80’s and 90’s. In winter they
reach in between the 40’s and 20’s. The main
resources are timber, coal, hardwood forests,
native azaleas, limestone, and sandstone.
The Piedmont Continues
So with all the awesome things to do in the
Piedmont I hope you come and visit us down

The Ridge and Valley is shaped like this
because of the ridges and valleys it contains.
The Ridge and Valley
Ups and Downs
The Ridge and Valleys climate is cold and
temperatures are usually with mild summers
and winters. The terrain is long with even
ridges with long continuous valleys. Some of
the natural resources in the ridge and valley are
pine woods, burrowing crayfish, and livestock.
One of its major cities are Dalton and Rome.
One of the tourist’s attractions is Tallulah Gorge
(Tallulah Falls).
