ABOUT CROATIA
Although Croatia is not a large country , it is a land that is
Mediterranean and Central European, bordering Slovenia in the
west, Hungary in the north, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in
the east and Italy in the south. You will be amazed to find so much
history, so much beauty and so many perfect holiday destinations
in such a small country. Croatia’s history dates back thousands of
years, with many historic buildings from the first decade perfectly
preserved.
The climate is Mediterranean along the Adriatic coast, meaning
warm dry summers and mild winters, with 2,600 hours of sunlight
on average yearly - it is one of the sunniest coastlines in Europe! In
the country inland, the climate is continental with hot summers and
cold, snowy winters.
The capital of Croatia is the city of Zagreb (population about
1,000,000), very old and pleasant city, mentioned for the first time in
1094. In former Yugoslavia Zagreb was a leading industrial, cultural
and scientific center.
If your visiting Croatia you can’t go past Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik
is the most magnificent and well preserved fortified city in the
world. Its history dates back to the 6th century. The old city is fully
encapsulated by its fortified walls stretching 1940 meter’s.
The walls are at their highest point 25 meters and up to 6 meters
thick. These impregnable walls have help maintain this cities history,
culture and beauty.
If you prefer to explore, you can choose one of the 1185 Islands of
Croatia, many of the larger Islands are inhabited. Every Island has its
own unique history and attributes.
If it is a beach what you prefer, why not go to one of the Islands,
well at least for the day, there are hundreds to choose from.
If you prefer nature, then you can’t go past Croatia’s National Parks,
Croatia has 8 national parks, and 10 nature parks.

starts in capital of Croatia
Zagreb. During 2 day stay
you will try local food, meet

way to the Dalmatian coast
