The sweater is not yours but another student told the teacher it belonged to you. DOK Questions 1. What evidence from the text helps you support your inferences about Rachel's personality? 2. Standards RL 6.1 RL 6.5 ELD Standards PIC1 Exchanging information/ideas PII6 Reading/viewing closely P1C9 Presenting Designated Time (matches integrated) ELD: students will be given a list of character traits and will help students identify the traits and define the traits Integrated Lesson 1) Students will use their annotated story that they used to highlight evidence and wrote what trait is being shown by the character 2) Students will be given 3 different colored balloons one with a character trait, one blank to be used to write evidence/analysis from the text and one to explain/expand 3) Students will work in groups of 3. They will combine all of their balloons to create a group graphic organizer. The group will be given a three level cake cut out where they write the introduction, background and topic sentence. 4) All parts will be glued on a paper to show the group graphic organizer. 5) Sentence frames will be provided as a scaffold for students who choose to use it to write their essay.
