Honors English II - Animal Farm Summer Reading Project

Honors English II - Animal Farm Summer Reading Project
Welcome to Honors English II! Before we meet as a class, we would like you to prepare a presentation showcasing your
talent(s) and understanding of our summer reading assignment, Animal Farm. You can present your findings and
responses to the prompt through any medium form of your choice. Some mediums are listed below.
Be creative. Be unique. Be yourself. We look forward to meeting you and seeing what you have created, but don’t
panic! These will not be presented until week 2 of the school year. You will not present in front of the whole class, just
a small group of peers through an activity called Living Museum. It will be fun (if you’re prepared)!
Please respond to the prompt using any form of media you choose:
What causes noble actions to become corrupt (Respond)? Include examples from the novel to illustrate your point
(Support). How does Orwell’s depiction of noble actions turning corrupt relate to society, our country, and/or the world
today (Connect)?
Choose an incident or multiple incidents that you believe show Orwell’s warning. Within this comparison, you must
connect the causes of corruption you choose to modern day occurrence(s). Be sure that you show understanding of
your modern event(s). Do not just address them on the surface level. Explain how they address the prompt and the text.
Present key findings using a variety of mediums (mediums listed below):
