FUN-FILLED FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
BOERNE, TX – February 12, 2015. After a sold-out house for the Canadian Brass in January,
Boerne Performing Arts is looking to change things up a little with a family show that will delight
children of all ages! This ancient Chinese tradition will meet the 21st century stagecraft with an elite
group of gymnasts, jugglers, cyclists and tumblers.
This daring demonstration of strength, balance and agility has hypnotized audiences around the
globe and defy gravity with amazing displays of contortion, flexibility and control. Watch in
amazement as these daring professionals perform heart-stopping maneuvers atop a dazzling array of
props. They are experts at treacherous wire-walking, trick-cycling, precision tumbling, somersaulting,
gymnastics, and more. You will flip at their agility!

In Boerne, Texas, you say? Well of course! As Boerne Performing Arts continues to bring the world
of professional performing arts to this small hill country community, this first-ever appearance by
Chinese acrobats broadens the horizons and expands the opportunities to the Far East, much like the
taiko drummers of Japan did in 2012. Each year, the organization continues to expand their offerings
and this high-energy experience will include the razzle, dazzle of bright colored costumes, elaborate
lighting, and technical talents of the traveling troupe of acrobats.
The numerous sponsors have made this colorful display of international talent possible for this
evening at the circus! Authentic Custom Homes LLC, Jefferson Bank, The GVTC Foundation,
Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, The Boerne Star, and H-E-B have all
provided support for this evening show along with a special FOR KIDS program that will be held
during the school day that will benefit over 1,000 local students from Boerne, Bandera, Comfort, and
Fredericksburg. To date, over 10,000 students have experienced a special school show by visiting
artists at no cost to any of the students, thanks in part to these dedicated sponsors.
With centuries of tradition under their belts, the New Shanghai Circus continues to thrill audiences
