The Cold War “Battlefronts” includes the Korean War and Vietnam War. Both wars fought on the Domino Theory (if one
country falls to communism, many others will follow), the Truman Doctrine, and the Containment Policy. It will
drastically change culture through the draft, the 26th Amendment, the Credibility Gap, the Silent Majority, and the Antiwar movement. The Cold War would come to end when the Berlin Wall is destroyed is 1989.

The Korean War Begins

In summary, the Korean War resulted in dividing North Korea and South Korea along the 28 th parallel after an armistice. To
this day, North Korea remains Communist and isolated from the world while South Korea gained sovereignty and has seen
increased prosperity. The war also created more friction between the United States and the U.S.S.R
