Luke 22:14-20 (NKJV)

Luke 22:14-20 (NKJV)
14 When
the hour had come, He sat
down, and the twelve apostles with
Him. 15 Then He said to them, “With
fervent desire I have desired to eat
this Passover with you before I suffer; Luke 22:14-20 (NKJV)
16 for
I say to you, I will no longer eat
of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom
of God.”
17 Then
He took the cup, and gave
thanks, and said, “Take this and divide
it among yourselves;
Luke 22:14-20 (NKJV)
18 for
I say to you, I will not drink of
the fruit of the vine until the kingdom
of God comes.”
19 And
He took bread, gave thanks and
broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
“This is My body which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of Me.”
Luke 22:14-20 (NKJV)
20 Likewise
He also took the cup after
supper, saying, “This cup is the new
covenant in My blood, which is shed
for you. Communion literally

1 Behold,
what manner of love the
Father hath bestowed upon us, that
we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not,
because it knew him not.

con Nosotros MacArthur “That phrase, “Which is given for you,”
is the most important concept in the
entire Bible, the most important
concept in the entire Bible, it is the
concept of substitutionary death. What
did I tell you the Passover conveyed? MacArthur One, you escape judgment only by
death, the death can be the death of an
innocent substitute. Here is the one
who ends all sacrifices, for He offers
the sacrifice which satisfies God. MacArthur Passover lambs that week were
chosen on Monday the tenth of Nissan,
everybody had to pick their lamb on
Monday to be sacrificed on the
fourteenth. It was Monday that Jesus
entered Jerusalem and God picked His
lamb and His lamb was slain on Friday
for us. MacArthur The lambs that were slain in the
millions throughout the centuries in the
sacrificial system of Israel were all
innocent, they didn’t sin, they didn’t
commit sin. MacArthur Animals can’t sin, they have no
self-consciousness, they have no
relationship with God, they have no
personhood. They are a good
illustration of the sacrifice of an
innocent. But here comes one who is
innocent and who is a person, who is
God Himself.”
Psalm 133
1 How
good and pleasant it is when
God’s people live together in unity!
2 It
is like precious oil poured on the
head, running down on the beard
running down on Aaron’s beard, down
on the collar of his robe. Psalm 133
3 It
is as if the dew of Hermon were
falling on Mount Zion. For there the
Lord bestows his blessing, even life
forevermore.
When we partake of the cup
we are demonstrating and
declaring our commitment to
fellowship and oneness with
one another and God.
