PASSES:
All exhibitors will need to purchase an Exhibitor Armband at the discounted rate of $10 to enter the
grounds. Armbands must be purchased and paid for with the entry form. If not purchased with entry
form full gate ticket prices will apply. A limit of four Exhibitor Armbands per entrant applies.
The issue of arm bands is controlled by the RASQ. All queries are to be directed to the show
office 4634 7400.
CAMPING
$25.00 per night per site (Maximum of four (4) people per site)
Camping must be indicated on the entry form and payment at the time of entry.

15. Exhibitors must communicate to the Judge through the steward.
Exhibitors are not permitted to talk to Judge prior to or during
judging, unless spoken to by the Judge.
16. Animals, exhibitors and handlers are to conduct themselves in
an exemplary manor at all times. Unruly animals, cruel, abusive,
or disruptive exhibitors/handlers will be excused from the ring
and will be prevented from competing in further classes. All
entry fees and other such costs will be forfeited and offenders
may be banned from future shows. All problems/disputes must
be quietly discussed with Steward without disrupting the Judge
or the class(es). The Steward may stop a class if the Steward
feels it is necessary and if the problem relates directly to the
class in progress and the Steward thinks they can rectify it
without disrupting the class. The Steward may call any person(s)
to assist with resolving the problem including the Judge and the
decision made by the Steward at that time, will be final.
Ribbons/awards once placed will not be removed to re-judge
class(es). All disputes/problems must be documented. Unresolved disputes are to be submitted in writing, signed and
posted to the MGBAA Secretary within 7 days of the show.
17. No exhibitor may withdraw or remove an animal from a Class
after it has commenced, or remove them from the show ring,
before the class is over and the judge’s comments have
concluded and without the permission of the Steward.
18. If an exhibitor voluntarily removes an animal from the ring
without the permission of the Steward, the exhibitor will be
disqualified and all their entries from all future classes at that
show and all prizes and entry fees for the entire show will be
forfeited. (excludes accidents)
19. It is a condition of entry that Champion, Reserve Champion,
Grand Champion and Supreme exhibits stand to be
photographed, prior to the end of the show for recording and
promotion of show results. Failure to do so will result in
disqualification of exhibit, award/s being permanently removed
and forfeiture of entry fees. Photos and results of classes /
animals will be published as the Show Society / MGBAA require.

20. The MGBA recognizes the position, rulings and directives of the
Royal Agricultural Society in all matters relating to Society Shows
and will follow their guidelines in situations where no rule has
been provided for in these rules.
21. The chief steward/show organiser reserves the right to make
alterations to classes prior to the catalogue being printed.
Incorrect entries will be transferred into the correct class
22. MGBAA Show Rules apply. MGBAA Inc Breed Standards, Heights
and Regulations will govern breed related issues IN ALL CASES
23. There will be no refund of Entry fees after the closing date for
the show

1. Age of goats will be as shown adjacent to each class in the show
schedule
2. All animals Must be on grounds one hour before start of judging
for height verification on day of show
3. Exhibitors must pay an entry fee into the show ground
4. If a show has a designated stock removal time then exhibitors are
required to remain at the showground for the time stipulated by
that show society
5. ALL Animals MUST be NLIS ear tagged and the tag must
correspond with what is listed on the registration certificate and
confirmed prior to commencement of judging
6. All animals to be accompanied by a fully completed waybill
7. All Goats must be owned by the exhibitor as recorded on the
registration certificate unless under a lessee’s agreement where
the lessee becomes the legal owner of the animal for the period
of the lease & the animal must be entered in ownership of the
lessee.
8. Exhibitors and cadets must be a current financial social or full
member at close of entries. MGBA members with any
st
outstanding membership fees on the 1 January with the
Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia Inc. will not be
eligible to compete at any MGBA shows for that year unless all
outstanding fees are paid. Cadets may have their animals
exhibited on the day provided they are prepared and exhibited
by other people. One cadet per show, minimum 20 classes to be
judged to count as one show.
9. Classes are open to AMGR/MGBA registered Australian Miniature
goats. Does under 12mths up to 53.3cm. Does over 12mths up
to 57cm.
2012 show year trial: Bucks/wethers under 12mths up to 57cm.
Bucks/wethers 12mths to 48mths not to exceed 60cm.
Bucks/wethers over 48mths not to exceed 63.5cm. All Animals
will be measured in prior to the commencement of judging and
catalogue signed by chief steward. Animals are to be brought up
to the measuring station as directed by the measuring steward.
10. Bucks must be in the control of an adult handler at all times or
tethered in trailer or pen.
11. Animals should be good breed examples and must NOT have
horns. All animals must be in healthy condition, free of ticks, lice
and visible signs of diseases or health problems. It is desirable
that goats have been vaccinated
12. To be eligible to compete Exhibitors must follow the directions
of the Judge and Steward while in or around the ring and be
ready to enter their class on time.
13. All animals must be in the control of a competent handler at all
times. Animals should behave quietly and show good manners
in and out of the show ring. Unruly animals will be excused from
the ring.
14. Exhibitors must present themselves in smart casual attire and
must wear closed in shoes. No Exhibitor, animal or equipment
may display any form of identification as to the name of the
animal while in the show ring.

This Association or any of its representatives will not under any circumstances hold itself/themselves
liable for any accident, loss, damage or non- delivery of livestock or other exhibits at the Society’s Show,
and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this Society blameless and indemnify it
against any legal proceedings arising through any accident, loss, non-delivery or damage whatsoever. In
interpreting the above regulations, any decisions made by the show committee is final and no
correspondence will be entered into
TICK INFECTED AREA
Must contact their local DPI & F at least two weeks in
advance to ensure all required paperwork and cattle tick
treatments are organised.
JOHNES DISEASE
Queensland is classed as a Protected Zone for Ovine
Johne’s Disease. Interstate exhibitors must check with their
local Department of Agriculture to confirm their Johne’s
status and eligibility to enter Queensland.
A Health Certificate and Travelling stock Statements must be
obtained prior to entry to Queensland
TICK RESTRICTED PROPERTIES
Exhibitors should contact their local stock office at least two
weeks prior to the show to arrange necessary treatments
and paperwork.
TICK ENTRY REQUIRMENTS
The Toowoomba Showground is situated in the cattle tick
free area of Queensland. All stock entering these grounds
must be tick free.
INTERSTATE LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS
Exhibitors should contact their local Department of
Agriculture at least two weeks in advance to confirm entry
and exit requirements and obtain the necessary paperwork.

All exhibitors are responsible for arranging their own public liability insurance and other insurances. You are covered under the
showground’s public liability in case of an accident to yourself, but you are not covered if your animal hurts, damages or injures a

Rules for Show Societies, Stewards, Judges, Exhibitors and Competitors at Agricultural Shows.

This show is conducted subject to the rules of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies Inc., the constitution and rules of this
Society and any other regulation, which appears within the Schedule for individual sections of this Show. Should there be any conflict
between the rules of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies Inc, the constitution and rules of this Society and the regulations
appearing in any schedule, the constitution, rules and regulations appearing in the schedule of this Society shall prevail.
The President, Steward and/or the Committee person in Charge of any section of this Show shall have the right to refuse any entry by an
Exhibitor without expressing reason at any time up to the commencement of judging of the section to which that entry applies.
The Society reserves the right to refuse entry to any stallholder if the Society reasonably believes that it is necessary to do so in order to
ensure that the standard, quality and safety of the Show is maintained.
The President, Committee person in Charge or Steward of any section shall have the right to alter or amend the programme or the time of
any event.
This Society will not under any circumstances hold itself liable for any accident, loss, damage or non-delivery of livestock or other exhibits at
the Society’s Show, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this Society blameless and indemnify it against any legal
proceedings arising through any accident, loss, non-delivery or damage whatsoever.
Exhibitors must obey all lawful orders of the President, Secretary, and the Committee person in Charge or the Steward of the section in
which the Exhibitor is entered. Failure to abide by any such order may incur a fine of an amount to be determined by the President of this
Society or on the order of the President, the Exhibitor may be removed from the grounds together with the exhibit.
Stewards shall have the power to remove exhibitors or other persons from the vicinity of the Judge while judging.
The Judge’s decision in any section shall be final.
Any protest by an Exhibitor must be lodged in writing with the Committee person or Steward in charge of any Section within 30 minutes of
the completion of the event together with a fee of $100.00. The fee will be forfeited if the protest is considered to be frivolous or vexatious.
The protest shall be heard according to the rules of the natural justice by a Dispute Committee of three appointed by the President of this
show and the decision of the Disputes Committee shall be final.
Ribbons will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion notwithstanding that there may be provision in the schedule for the awarding of ribbons.
Exhibitors shall ensure that they and all animals are entered and shown in the correct class.
All exhibitors must present their exhibit for judging at the appointed time and place. Judging shall not be delayed for an Exhibitor who is not
ready and the Committee person in Charge or Steward of the section shall have the right to exclude and disqualify the exhibitor competing in
that section who does not present on time.
If, in the opinion of the Committee person in Charge or Steward of the section, any animal or exhibit is entered in the wrong class, the
Committee person in charge or Steward of the Section shall have the power to enter the animal or exhibit in its correct class prior to the
commencement of judging of that class.
Where there is an age limit on an Exhibitor, any of the following shall be accepted as proof of age:
A. A birth certificate
B. A Driver’s Licence
C. Current passport
Exhibitors shall at all times behave in a proper and courteous manner to judges, Show Officials and other exhibitors. Should an exhibitor
behave in an offensive or improper manner, the Committee person in Charge, or Steward of the section shall have the right to exclude and
disqualify that Exhibitor from competing in the Section.
All Exhibitors and/or grooms entering the showground shall obey the lawful directions of the President, Committee, Stewards or Employees
of the Show Society and failure or refusal to do so, shall entitle the President of this Society to disqualify the Exhibitor and/or his/her exhibit
from competing at the show and may order the removal of the Exhibitor and /or his/her exhibit from the grounds.
A Judge shall not adjudicate at more than one show, where practical, within 60 days unless judging different sections where it can be
reasonably anticipated a number of the same exhibits are to be judged.
Judging cards and performance records shall be completed by the Committee person in Charge, Steward and/or the Judge of a Section (if
required) during or immediately after the judging of the Section or at the Judge’s convenience.
Judges must be suitably attired when judging.
Competitors must be suitably attired when exhibiting.
If a Judge is unable to fulfil a judging commitment, the Judge shall notify the Show Society as soon as possible so replacement can be
arranged.
A Judge shall not send a substitute Judge. All invitations to judge shall be sent by the Society.
A Society shall report to the Queensland Sub-Chamber of Agricultural Societies Inc. any Judge who fails to attend A show to which he or she
has accepted an invitation to judge or, who has failed to judge at the time advertised for the commencement of the class provided that the
failure to attend or appear is without reasonable cause.
A Judge may not officiate in one Section of a Show and compete or exhibit in another Section at the same show unless exceptional
circumstances exist, such as sickness or unavailability of the appointed Judge.
An Exhibitor shall not compete in a section if the Exhibitor is a member of the Judge’s immediate family.
An Exhibitor shall not compete nor show any animal in a section if the animal has been owned or leased by the Judge or a member of the
Judge’s immediate family or if the Judge is the Exhibitor’s employer or business partner.
An Exhibitor shall not compete if the Exhibitor or any member of the Exhibitor’s immediate family has provided accommodation for the Judge
within three months prior to or during the holding of the Show.
An Exhibitor shall not compete if the Exhibitor or any animal being shown by the Exhibitor has been given tuition by the Judge’s business
partner within three months prior to or during the show.

An Exhibitor is ineligible to compete if the Exhibitor has employed or has been employed by or has been a business partner of the Judge of
the Section within three months prior to or during the show.
An Exhibitor shall not compete if the Exhibitor has given tuition to the Judge or has fed or trained an animal owned or leased by the judge
within three months prior to or during the show.
A Judge shall not visit the livestock-housing complex of the Show Society, nor the owners, nor inspect or discuss any animals entered in the
Show prior to or during the judging of the relevant section.
No Exhibitor shall deface or alter registration papers or performance cards for any exhibit.
A Judge or Steward must not knowingly permit an ineligible Exhibit or Exhibitor to compete.
No Exhibitor nor a member of the Exhibitor’s immediate family or anybody employed by the Exhibitor shall approach a Judge with regard to a
decision made by the Judge unless they first obtain permission from the Committee person in Charge or Steward of the Section.
In Breed Classes, all animals must have current Registration and Ownership Certificate with the relevant Breed Society.
In Breed Classes, registration papers (where applicable) must be available at the Show as proof of registration.
An Exhibitor required by the Show Section Schedule or rules of this Society to parade an exhibit in the Grand Parade and who fails to do so,
shall not be entitled to and shall forfeit any prize money or trophy to that Exhibitor and/or for that Exhibit.
The Exhibitor shall ensure that they and their exhibit comply with all statutes, regulations and by-laws applying to the showground at the time
of the show including but not limited to all animal health requirements.
Exhibitors and Space Holders who bring electrical equipment into the showground must comply with current legislation.
Where animals are being led, worked and displayed, it is the responsibility of the owner/handler at the time to ensure the animal does not
become a public safety liability.
Dogs, other than those owned by members of the Canine Control Council, must be kept in a closed float, a vehicle or on a short leash and
must be suitably muzzled as to prevent it being able to injure or bite any person or other animal.
Any competitor who receives any physical or electronic communication aid during the judging of an event will have all nominations cancelled.
The persons concerned may be asked to leave the showground.
Energised electric fences are prohibited on the Showground at any time unless in a specified area and suitably signed.
Rules for individual Sections shall be as per the attached Schedule/s and they shall be read in conjunction with the rules.
Every official, competitor and helper has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. In support of this right, the RASQ has zero
tolerance for any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence. Any person subjected to any of these forms of harmful conduct
is encouraged to report it in writing to the RASQ Committee or Section Head Chief Steward. All reports will be handled promptly and
confidentially.

The Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies Inc. considers that any Judge, Steward or Person who is affected by alcohol or drugs
while performing a duty at an Agricultural Show or Show Committee organised function, is considered an unacceptable form of behaviour,
which will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Chamber considers that all persons assisting at a Show or function should be free of any intimidation or embarrassment caused by
any person who is affected by alcohol or drugs.
The Executive of the Show Society or person in charge of the Event must ensure that any Judge, Steward or Person is not subject to any
behaviour, which is a personal embarrassment to the Members of the Show Society or renders the Show Society in disrepute.
Any reports of alcohol or drug abuse will be treated seriously and action will be taken immediately to remedy the problem.
Disciplinary action may be taken against any person who is in breach of these protocols.
Any Judge, Steward or person affected by alcohol or drugs by their actions may be liable under the Workplace, Health and Safety Act.
Disciplinary action arising from any incident involving alcohol or drug abuse may involve a warning, dismissal or referral to authorities.
