Latest development of intelligent electronic numbering systems
By using the optimal dimensioning of the motors
and the use of latest, highly dynamical controlelectronics, a numbering machine was created,
that cannot be beaten concerning performance
and efficiency. Because of its compact dimensions
LENservo can be used for the sheet/WEB production of banknotes in current numbering presses.
Advantages of the construction
Revolutionary snap lid-mechanism
When developing the modern LENservo, LEIBINGER
has again followed its philosophy and created a
numbering system that is easy to handle and just as
easy to maintain. Therefore the LEIBINGER engineers
have chosen a modular construction for the numbering
machine. The mechanical module with the figure
wheels and the axle can easily be removed and thus
offers the decisive advantage: The maintenance itself
and the change of figure wheels is much easier than
in conventional numbering machines.
Due to the revolutionary snap lid-mechanism, the
numbering machine can be opened deftly and the
entire set of wheels can be removed and cleaned while
the electronical parts remain in the case. By using
this unique construction, the maintenance and set-up
times can be reduced drastically. In addition to this,
the compact construction of the LENservo minimizes
clearance distances across and around the shaft.
Electronic controller
For the electronic control system of the LENservo we
maintained the well-proven “LEIBINGER Standard”
meaning that as much “intelligence” as possible has
to be in the numbering machine itself. This is achieved
by the latest hard- and software developments from the
experienced LEIBINGER electronic R&D. It enables
an easy communication with the external controler
using a slip ring unit with only a few contact-tracks
and thus provides a smooth operation.
