Movie Event
Saturday October 22, 7:00 PM, New Horizon will be
showing the acclaimed movie WAR ROOM as a free
outreach to our community. War Room was a box
office smash following its release in 2015. The movie
shows the power of prayer, and the importance of being obedient to God. Prior to the movie we will host a
Movie Premier Party at 6:00. Bring finger foods, and
invite your friends and neighbors to come be part of this Movie Event!

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have
become convinced of, because you know those from whom you
learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation
through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed
and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Welcome to New Horizon
Each year New Horizon participates in a Christmas compassionate ministry
project. We have participated in water projects in Haiti, farm animals in
Africa, Operation Christmas Child boxes for needy children, among others.
This year we are inviting the congregation to choose the project. Look
over the projects on the bulletin insert and vote for the project you like.

Jesus said in Matthew 22 the greatest command is; Love the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. From this command of Jesus New Horizon has six guiding principles.
Because of our love for God...
 Holiness—It is God’s will for his people to be holy. New
Horizon is committed to the demonstration, the preaching,
and the teaching of Holiness. The power of the Holy Spirit
lived out in pure love.
 Authentic Worship—God is worthy of all our worship.
When New Horizon comes together our worship is a
genuine search for the heart of God and an expression of
our love for Him.
Because of our love for our neighbor
 Safety—God’s house is to be a place of love. One where
we can “confess our sins to one another” and let our burdens be lifted by each other. A place of Christ-like community.
 Service—All Christians are called to serve not to be
served. The church endeavors to provide opportunities for
its people to share Christ with each other, and with our
community.
 Unity of Heart and Mission—Jesus prayed for His disciples to be one… one with Christ and one with each other.
New Horizon is dedicated to this mission.
 Discipleship and Evangelistic in nature—Because we love
our neighbor, we want everyone to know Jesus in all His
fullness.
