1. Select the proper size plastic wedge for
the depth of the slots on your molding.
Your hardware package will include several different sizes. You may need
one or two wedges to fill the corner.
To assemble as easily as possible, lay your four pieces of molding face down
in their approximate assembly position. Start at one corner. Put a bead of glue
along the inside of the mitered corner of
the molding where the two sides meet,
then push the two pieces together. If
your frame has an integral linen liner, be
careful not to get glue on the liner. BE CAREFUL NOT TO ALLOW ADHESIVE
TO CONTACT FACE OF FRAME.
2. Line up the slots in the corners of the 3
Repeat steps one and two with the
remaining three corner and your almost finished.
Hint: Molding sometimes warps slightly
in transit. In order to get four perfect
corners you may need to assemble three
corners and allow them to dry overnight.
This prevents these corners from opening
up when the forth corner is joined. We
recommend allowing the glue to dry at least
2 hours and preferably overnight before
proceeding with framing your piece. Insert material to be framed (glass, mat,
picture, backing, stretched canvas, etc.) and
make secure with retainer clips provided or
brads, glazier’s points or canvas clips for
