Chinese New Year
Let the Games Begin!
Friday, January 27 / 10am-2pm
Kung Hei Fat Choy means Happy New Year! We
will welcome in the Year of the Rooster with
wishes for luck and prosperity in 2017. Make
festive crafts and enjoy good fortune (cookie), on
this very colorful day!
Groundhog Day
Thursday, February 2 / 10am-2pm
Is spring to be or not to be? That’s the question—
and Punxsutawney Phil will have the answer.
Come make some ‘shadowy’ crafts inspired by
Phil and his prediction.
But wait… the ball has gone missing! We can’t
start the game until we find it. Don’t feel deflated;
YOU can help us solve this mystery! Kids will use
their observational skills, teamwork and a little
science to examine evidence, break codes and
complete various activities throughout the
Museum, each one earning them a new clue.
Will you find all the clues and solve this mystery
before the whistle blows?

mixed with a dusting of leprechaun magic! Wear

Books About Buddies
Like macaroni and cheese, some
things just naturally go together.
Today we celebrate literary
friendships, and the strong
bonds that these BFFs share with each other. What
would George be without the Man in the Yellow
Hat? Or how would Pete get along without Bill?
We encourage you to bring your best friend to the
Museum to participate in multiple hands-on
activities inspired by three of our favorite
children’s stories.
