ADMISSION APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
ÉMIGRÉ PHYSICIANS PROGRAM (EPP)
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the required documents (noted below in Part A and Part
B) are received by the dates indicated. The Admissions Committee will only review complete application
files. Incomplete applications and documents received after the deadline dates may not be evaluated for
the term requested.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS – PART A
The six documents listed in Part A must be mailed together in one package with the EPP application
form. The application package must be received no later than October 30, 2015 in order to be considered
for the 2016 entering class.
1. Émigré Physicians Program Application.
2. Application fee of $80.00 – check or money order only made payable to NYIT College of
Osteopathic Medicine.
3. Documentation providing proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency.
Three options:
A. Copy of Certificate of Naturalization OR
B. Copy of U.S. Passport OR
C. Copy of Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”)
4. Resume or Curriculum Vitae.
5. Copy of your Social Security Card.
6. Copy of your Driver’s License.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS – PART B
The two documents listed in Part B must be mailed directly from each company to NYIT College of
Osteopathic Medicine, Office of Admissions. Copies cannot be accepted. Both documents must be
received no later than November 20, 2015 in order to be considered for the 2016 entering class.
1. Official course-by-course evaluation of your educational credentials completed by World
Education Services (WES), Inc. (www.wes.org) OR Globe Language Services, Inc.
(www.globelanguage.com).
2. Official TOEFL score report showing a score of 90 or higher on the internet–based test
(www.ets.org/toefl).
Please note: All documents that you submit, or are submitted on your behalf, to NYIT College of
Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) in support of your application for admission become the property of the
NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and will under no circumstances be released to you or any other
party.
DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS
1. Course-by-Course Evaluation - World Education Services and Globe Language Services are the
only two evaluation services that we accept. The official evaluation must be received directly from
WES or Globe and is subject to approval by NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. The evaluation
must state that the applicant has completed the First Professional Degree in Medicine (Doctor of
Medicine) at a regionally accredited institution that is equivalent to the MD Degree in the United
States.
ATTENTION RE-APPLICANTS: If you submitted a WES or Globe course-by-course evaluation
for the 2015 cycle, we will have it on file. You do not need to resend it for 2016.
2. TOEFL Scores - The TOEFL exam is required for all applicants. Please select the NYIT College of
Osteopathic Medicine code 2486 when you take the test or request that your score report is sent to
us. Copies cannot be accepted. TOEFL results must be less than 2 years old at the time of
application. Please note that achieving the minimum acceptable TOEFL score does not guarantee
selection.
3. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency - Please note that Employment
Authorization Cards are not acceptable.
EPP APPLICATION TIMELINE

October 30, 2015 - Deadline to receive the EPP Application Package at NYITCOM
The application package (PART A) must be received no later than October 30, 2015 in order to
be considered for the 2016 entering class.

November 20, 2015 - Deadline to receive the Evaluation and TOEFL Scores at
NYITCOM
The official course-by-course evaluation and official TOEFL score report (PART B) must be
received no later than November 20, 2015 in order to be considered for the 2016 entering class.
 Early Spring 2016 - EPP interviews will be held.

Late Spring 2016 - The Admissions Committee will release decisions.
