Grammar: Pronouns
What is a pronoun?
A pronoun is a word that REPLACES a noun.
If we had no pronouns, we would have to
use nouns again and again in sentences. This
would become very repetitive and very
annoying to read.
Example: Robbie put Robbie’s books on Robbie’s desk and
took Robbie’s lunch out of Robbie’s lunch bag.
Robbie put his books on his desk and took his lunch out of
his lunch bag.
