UK Public to Decide Five-Day SpongeBob SquarePants Event Set to Air 4th – 8th June
London, 10th April, 2012 – Nickelodeon UK is looking for help from SpongeBob aficionados across the country
to decide which is their favourite SpongeBob SquarePants episode. SpongeBob’s Top 100, airing between
noon and 5 p.m. from 4th – 8th June, will see 100 episodes broadcast in the order decided by the UK public.
“I think we’ve selected the best stories from Bikini Bottom so whether voters love Gary, are a fan of Sandy or
even have a preference for Plankton, I think they’ll be able to find a story that suits their SpongeBob
sensibilities,” said Tina McCann, Managing Director, Nickelodeon UK. “I can’t wait to see which story the UK
selects as the pinnacle of the pineapple.”
Fans can visit nick.co.uk to select their top SpongeBob stories using a unique SpongeBob SquarePants search
engine, designed exclusively by Nickelodeon UK for the special SpongeBob event. After selecting their
favourites, SpongeBob fans can choose to be entered into a contest to win one of one hundred special
SpongeBob prizes. Bikini Bottom buffs have until 6th May to select their top SpongeBob stories.
The 100 stories will air from noon to 5 p.m. from Monday, 4th June with the most popular episode, as decided
by the UK public, broadcast at 4:45 p.m. on Friday 8th June. Celebrities including Pixie Lott and the cast of
VicTORious will appear as part of the top 100 countdown to introduce the episodes that got their vote.
