Introduction
This manual has been designed to help assist those who are legally entitled to reproduce the Wilfrid Laurier Golden
Hawks logomark.
When considering using the Golden Hawk logomark, it is necessary to give consideration as to which logomark would be
appropriate for the given products or usages. It is crucial to maintain consistency amongst all logomarks and their usages
in order to maintain a cohesive and identifiable program for the Athletics Department as well as the Laurier community.
Also, the use of the logomark should be tasteful and appropriate, as the presentation of the logomark directly influences
the stature and image of the Wilfrid Laurier University’s Athletics and Recreation Department. The information contained
in this manual is intended to help in the selection of appropriate visuals, achieve correct reproductions, and provide good
design direction.
Elements & Reproduction
The Wilfrid Laurier
University Athletics logomark consists of a stylized
“Hawk” image accompanied
by a text selection that may
be altered to differentiate
various sports and recreation programs. There are
four primary configurations
of the athletics logomark
- known as primary signatures versions - that may be
used.
1. Logomark
2. Logomark with text
3. Logomark for dark fields
4. Logomark with text for dark
fields
With approval from the Athletics Department at Wilfrid
Laurier University, special
secondary versions of the
Laurier logomark may be
used. See the section
“Secondary Signature Logos” later in this manual for
guidelines on their usage.
No other configurations of
the Hawk logotype may be
created. All reproductions of
this logomark should be accomplished by acquiring the
image from camera-ready
artwork.
NOTE: Freehand or other
renditions of the Wilfrid
Laurier Golden Hawks
