For children in the Reception class, this is deducted from termly fees having been calculated in line with the number of days in the term. For reference, this is equivalent to a daily charge of £29.40, plus £3.15 for lunch, so £32.55 per day. A deposit of £200.00 for day pupils and £1000.00 for boarding pupils is payable when accepting a place at the school. This is refundable at the end of the pupil’s final term in school, less any outstanding disbursements or charges. Payment of Fees School fees must be paid termly in advance and are due on the first day of each new term. Fees can be paid by cheque, bank transfer, debit or credit card. Bank details are provided on our invoice. HOHS reserves the right to make a charge for using a credit card, in line with any directly-related charges it receives. HOHS is registered with various childcare voucher schemes and will accept childcare vouchers towards the cost of Nursery and Reception fees (but only whilst the child is in receipt of the Early Years Grant); out of hours provision; and against boarding fees, up to 1st September following the child’s fifteenth birthday. Monthly fee payment schemes are available from external providers. A late payment surcharge will be added to overdue accounts, at a rate detailed on the invoice. Failure to pay accounts on time will result in legal action. Any costs incurred in recovering overdue fees will be charged to the fee payer. A composite fee may be paid in advance to cover the cost of a pupil’s education throughout all or part of their time at the school, attracting a discount. Details of this can be obtained from the Business Manager. Lower Prep School Day Fees All fees include a compulsory cooked lunch. All fees are charged termly in advance, and the termly charge for Nursery fees will vary, according to the length of the term. The Early Years Grant is deducted from fees when invoicing, and will vary, according to the length of the term. HOHS does not charge for the free entitlement, and does not charge top-up fees. Nursery fees are calculated on an hourly rate of £6.93 and lunch is charged at £2.95. Reception fees are calculated on an hourly rate of £8.40 and lunch is charged at £3.15. Upper Prep and Senior School Day Fees All Preparatory and Senior School fees include a compulsory lunch. Fees are inclusive of equipment, laboratory and library fees, use of text books* and all stationery*. Pupils who are day boarding receive a drink and snack, and can attend a range of after school clubs and supervised prep from 5pm. The majority of extra-curricular activities, at lunchtimes and after school, are included in our school fees. Pupils also have the opportunity to take additional chargeable extra-curricular lessons outside the regular school curriculum. Details of charges for additional activities are provided separately. Senior School external exam fees are charged separately. * Sixth Form pupils must provide their own stationery. Textbooks and materials are also individually charged. Boarding Fees - Full Boarding From Sunday 2.30pm at start of term to Friday 6.00pm at the end of term. The fee excludes exeat weekends, which may be available at extra cost, subject to demand (a reduced experience). Boarding fees are inclusive of breakfast lunch and supper, accommodation and care in the boarding house, a range of onsite boarding activities, weekend social outings for full-time boarders and laundry. Returns after exeat weekends and half term holidays from Sunday 6.30pm. No supper provided. A full term’s notice is required to discontinue or reduce boarding. In lieu of such notice, a term’s fee is payable. Boarding Fees - Weekly Boarding From Sunday 6.00pm to Friday 6.00pm Boarding fees are inclusive of breakfast lunch and supper, accommodation and care in the boarding house, a range of onsite boarding activities and laundry. Returns after exeat weekends and half term holidays from Sunday 6.30pm. No supper provided A shorter week will be charged pro-rata. Conversion to full boarder will be charged pro-rata A full term’s notice is required to discontinue or reduce boarding. In lieu of such notice, a term’s fee is payable. Boarding Fees - Flexi and Occasional Boarding Discounted nightly rate for overnight boarding before or after a school trip or event. Includes supper and breakfast. Flexi and occasional boarding, at the parent’s request, is available at the given rates for up to ten nights per term for Sundays to Thursdays, and four nights per term for Fridays and Saturdays. Thereafter, the charges will increase to £50 per night for Sundays to Thursdays, 6pm - 8.30am, and £100 per night for Fridays and Saturdays, 6pm 6pm. Pupil Accident Insurance and Fees Refund Scheme Pupil accident insurance is included within the fees. Fees Refund Scheme charge is only added to bills at the fee payer’s request. Please advise the Business Manager if you would like cover under this scheme. Learning Support A full term’s notice is required to discontinue receiving support. In lieu of such notice, a term’s fee is payable. School Transport to and from Norwich Half a term’s notice is required to cancel a pupil’s place on the school bus. Musical Instrument and Singing Lessons A full term’s notice is required to discontinue lessons. In lieu of such notice, a term’s fee is payable. Ver. 1.2
