New Year Cheer
Kick off the New Year with your customers/members! Invite them to
a week-long party at your branch the first week of 2016. Create a festive
backdrop with cutout clocks, black and gold party hats and balloons,
and a large cutout of 2016 numbers. Clean to make your branch sparkle
and shine. Pour attention into gaining new customers/members for the
New Year. Hand out small flyers with easy instructions to switch to your
financial institution. Set goals for the promotion. Celebrate reaching
those goals afterward!
Trivia Tuesday
Warm up the microphone, and revamp your PA activity. Keep your
crew engaged with a lively game of trivia on the slowest day of the
week. For example, create a program called Trivia Tuesday. Invite team
members to set their timers and announce hourly trivia questions via
the PA system. Involve your store manager using trivia about your
retailer or store products. They may even offer prizes in addition to your
promotional gifts. Help create a win-win for everyone!

into a traditional Mardi Gras carnival. Anything glittery purple,
green, and gold will suffice. Invite staff to wear crowns and
beads. Promote equity lines with a special rate during this time
period.
Hand out Mardi Gras beads on Fat Tuesday, February 9, to
store patrons with your brochure or business card attached.
Work with your in-store bakery to serve King Cakes on a
Saturday. Prepare a special prize for those who receive the baby
in their slice of cake.

Take advantage of an extra calendar day this February, and
celebrate Leap Year. Create a catchy theme using multiple,
frog-filled décor and other green supplies. Prepare a special
offer for new savings accounts opened on February 29th.
Invite customers/members to “hop over” and celebrate this
one-day-only event.

Spring into action this March and inform store patrons of the savings
account products available with your financial institution. Highlight
rates on brightly colored cutouts of flowers. Invite the florist to fill the
branch with seasonal displays.
The first day of spring is March 20th. Host a drawing on that day, and
give away a flower arrangement or potted plant. A small gift basket
containing seeds, gardening gloves and tools could also be given as a
grand prize.
Fees Make Us Angry, Too!
If your financial institution offers a fee-free account, prepare a Marvel®
Hulk promotion for this month’s activity. Use the slogan, “Fees Make Us
Angry, Too!” Promote the fee-free product on cutouts of Hulk’s fists. With
most of the store gearing up for St. Patrick’s Day, green decor and even
green foods will be readily available for your event.
Cover cabinets with red craft paper and mark lines to create a brick wall.
Cut out an oversized Hulk head with an angry face as focal point. Invite
children to come by for a superhero coloring sheet or even face-painting.
