G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit 2014
The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a global
network of young entrepreneurs and the organizations that
support them. In preparation for the 2014 G20 Leaders
Summit in Brisbane, Australia, more than 400 young
entrepreneurs meet at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance
Summit in Sydney from July 18th to 22th 2014.
Organized by ENYA (Enterprise Network for Young Australians), G20 YEA
Summit 2014 in Sydney (18-22 July 2014) is organized in preparation of the
G20 Leaders summit. It is the natural continuation of a project which started
in July 2009 in Stresa and became well established with Toronto (June 2010),
Nice (November 2011), Mexico City (June 2012) Summits. The G20 Summit
of Young Entrepreneurs is a three-days conference which involves 20 national
delegations with the aim to create and share a joint declaration, called the
Final Communiqué, with our position on key social and economic matters
and an action plan for youth unemployment. This declaration is therefore
presented to the G20 Leaders summit in Brisbane in November 2014.

Rome, July 18 2014
Dear friends,
when in 2009 I contributed to organize the first G8 Young Business Summit in
Stresa, I could not expect that the path of G20 YEA would be so successful
and exciting.
Address from Confindustria Y.E.
National President
4
Six years later, we have created a network bringing together more than
1,400 young entrepreneurs willing to work together to address the great
challenges of our era.
We are close in our diversity: we come from different countries with
different culture and different professional and personal backgrounds.
However, we share common values that shape our everyday mission:
promote entrepreneurship amongst the youngest as a mean for progress
and economic development.
This G20 YEA Summit edition will deal with crucial topics as job creation and
youth unemployment, which have a special relevance for our country, given
the economic crisis we have been passing through.
As President of Italian Young Entrepreneurs, I am confident that the
attendees of the event will be able to give a fundamental contribution
to address these issues effectively. In addition, with no doubt the Italian
delegation will bring to the works the culture, the values and the enthusiasm
that feature our country.
Enjoy your G20 YEA Summit.
Kind regards,
Marco Gay

The C.Y.E. Movement is composed of individuals aged between 18
and 40 years old, who hold management positions within companies
that are registered with Confindustria local member associations. The
Division has greatly expanded over the years and today counts 12.500
members associates, organized across 105 Provinces and in 20 Regional
Committees.
Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs
6
The Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs movement was formed within the
framework of the Confindustria associations system as a group of individuals
whose aim is to strengthen awareness of the entrepreneur’s role and to set it
apart from conventional organizations set up as business associations.
The Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs Movement is proud of having
started the idea of identifying, searching and connecting several young
entrepreneurs’ associations all around the world, bringing them all together
for the first time at the first G8 Young Entrepreneurs Summit held in Stresa
(Italy 2009). It is also an honor to be amongst the founding members of the
G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, a fundamental step towards building up
a global awareness about youth entrepreneurship.
The group seeks to play the role of “critical
conscience” within the Confindustria System, and as
“innovation laboratories” with respect to civil society.
Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs
in figures:
60% of them are under 35
30% are first generation entrepreneurs
75% have a key role in their companies
30% are women
The main activities of the Young Entrepreneurs
Movement include:
- Encouraging the spread of business culture and the growth of
entrepreneurial opportunities within society;
- Supporting free market and competition, merit and social mobility
with a view to furthering Italy’s competitiveness;
- Enhancing the role of the entrepreneur as an active and responsible
player for Italy’s economic, social and civil development.

company carries out maintenance projects offshore.
Ad astra per aspera is his motto as well as that of the State of Kansas,
where Luca was an exchange student in High School.

family company localized in the south of Italy, to a more mature and
managerial company with current operations in Asia, GCC and a global
outlook.
During his first years of career, he decided to complete his studies with an
Executive MBA program at MIP Politecnico di Milano, a great experience
in terms of knowledge and international networking.
