APUNTES CAPÍTULO: 1.2 TEMA: Noun-Adjective Agreement ● Adjectives are words that describe people and things. ● In Spanish, adjectives share the GENDER and the NUMBER of the word they describe. ● To identify the gender of the noun, look at its definite and indefinite article and then choose the adjective’s appropriate ending. singular plural feminine -a -as masculine -o -os neutral -e -es ● To make an adjective plural: ○ Add -s if it ends in a vowel. ○ Add -es if it ends in a consonant. ● Exceptions that must be memorized: ○ Some adjectives that end in a consonant can describe both genders. ○ Some adjectives that end in a consonant, can be made feminine by adding -a. Ex. Trabajador → trabajadora.
