NINA ROBERTS launched NinaHQ the craft studio in the Old
Railway Station on Maisondieu Road, Elgin, in May last year. From
sewing to knitting, straw work to corsetry, she offers a huge list of
creative classes, workshops and courses for people of all ages.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to advance your skills,
there’s a course to inspire!
Nina has previously designed for an alternative clothing brand,
worked for fashion designer Ashley Isham in London and made
costumes for various films, TV and theatre productions. She made
the costumes worn by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush in The King’s
Speech and by Jeremy Irons in The Borgias.
Nina also teaches at Moray College, hand-knits for Johnstons of
Elgin and undertakes bespoke dressmaking commissions.

FOOTWORKS Chiropody/Podiatry Practice, run by business partners
Pippa Campbell and Colleen Guy, relocated in September 2013 to
South Street in Elgin.
Both are qualified podiatrists and members of the Health and Care
Professions Council.
Foot care is so important. A routine appointment includes cutting nails,
removing hard skin and identifying possible causes for pressure points.
Footworks is qualified to carry out nail surgery for ingrown toenails,
remove corns and treat verrucas, give ultrasound therapy on soft-tissue
damage, bruises or sprains, offer diabetic foot care, and biomechanics
– specialist treatment for people with sore knees, legs or hips using
orthotics.
A basic nail-cutting service is also provided for simple nails (i.e. not
thickened or fungal nail). Pippa and Colleen recommend that patients
always have treatment carried out by professionals who are fully
qualified, insured and members of HCPC which can be checked on the
HCPC website.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday, with Saturday and evening
appointments available on request.
There is a car park nearby, and there’s full disabled access into
Footworks which is at ground level.

HAIR.COM has taken a fresh approach to hairdressing since it
opened in April 2012.
Owners Nicola Royan and Lisa Lawrence have fulfilled their
ambitions in opening their own salon, and in the first five months
they extended their opening hours as well as their workforce to
meet demand from customers.
Hair.com uses the latest technology and techniques to provide
clients with a cutting-edge service. Nicola and Lisa use social
media, email and video-calling to communicate with customers in
new and convenient ways.
But the focus is not just on all things new: Lisa and Nicola and
their staff pride themselves on good old-fashioned customer
service.
A trip to Hair.com is not just about leaving with the hair you
dream of, it’s about the whole experience.
Lisa and Nicola are determined to ensure that their clients enjoy
the whole experience at Hair.com, as well as the end result.
The salon is open six days a week, with a men’s night on
Wednesday from 5-7pm (no appointment needed) and a students’
night on Thursday from 5-8pm (20% discount with a valid student

SANDRA REAM, holistic therapist at Willowbank Holistic Therapies
in Lossiemouth, is the first Bellyfit instructor in Scotland and one
of only a handful in the UK.
Bellyfit provides holistic fitness classes for women that blend
the power and wisdom of ancient cultures with the research,
technology and trends of the modern world. It’s designed
exclusively for the female body, mind and spirit.
In the first half-hour of the class burn mega calories, relieve stress
and get the sweat flowing with fun, easy-to-learn cardio moves
infused with the ancient and beautiful fundamentals of belly
dance, Bhangra, Bollywood and African dance.
During the second half of the class enjoy sculpting, toning and
tightening with Pilates-inspired core work, a deep yet relaxing
yoga-inspired stretch and mindful mudra meditation.
The Bellyfit community knows no boundaries of age, size, ability,
race or faith. Whether you have two left feet, are a professional
dancer, just getting into fitness, a seasoned athlete, or somewhere
in between, you will be inspired by the beauty, diversity and
power of the moves and mantras, and experience a fabulous
workout. Check class schedules on Facebook Bellyfit Moray and
