Mrs Joyner is setting up an `Anti-Bullying Steering Group’
in school which means we can apply for a Quality Mark for
our ABC (anti-bullying council). The first meeting will be on
Thursday 10th April at 2.15pm and will take place at school.
We are asking if parents would like to get involved and join
the group they are quite welcome to come along to the
meeting next week. To join the group, however, will mean
a commitment from parents/carers to be able to attend
ALL the meetings. If you are interested please speak to the
school office.
School uniform.
All children must come to school in the appropriate school
uniform at all times. Please be aware that jeans and trainers are
NOT allowed. If a child comes to school without the proper school
uniform on the will be given a spare one from the lost property
box to wear during the day whilst they are with us. A reminder
that the uniform includes a white polo shirt, grey or black school
trousers (boys or girls) or skirt, royal blue sweatshirt and black
school shoes.
We need help!
As you may already be aware we have a number or
parents/carers who have disabilities and are unable to walk very
quickly when dropping off and collecting their children. Can we
please ask for your patience and understanding if you are
walking along the path or down the driveway to the school and
you encounter a parent using sticks to aid them when walking. If
you are a little late collecting and feel you have to rush please
be aware that your child will be kept safe and we will not let
your child out of the care of the staff until you arrive. We have
had a couple of incidents reported to us of parents pushing past
and being very inconsiderate to others. Please try to be good
role models for your children at all times.
Homework Club is held
8.30am every day in Y6
Achievements this week
St. Paul’s hosted the annual Rock Off concert on
Monday 31st March which is a competition with
our local schools and their rock bands. Four of
our girls took part; Kyra Tolley, Shannon
Leyland, Paige May and Chloe Maskery and
collectively they are called The Rizzle Sisters .
We had a fantastic time and the children did
exceptionally well by being awarded `Best
Improved Band.’ It was lovely to be able to
welcome children from Clarice Cliffe Primary,
Glebe Primary, Milton Primary and Greenways
Primary into our school to compete in this
event. The overall winners of Best Band was
awarded to Greenways. Well done to everyone
who took part.
