What is IKEA’s Buy Online service?
The Buy Online service allows you to buy certain IKEA products conveniently from your own home.
The range of products we sell online keeps expanding.
Please visit individual product pages to learn whether an item is available for purchase online.
Can I order and pay an item online, and then pick it up at the store?
No. With the Buy Online service the item you order is delivered directly to your address from a warehouse at a
different location from your habitual store. Buy online and wait for your order to be delivered with no hassle for you.
How will I receive my invoice or tax receipt?
The invoice, which replaces the tax receipt for online purchases, will be sent directly to your email address on the day
following your order.

What is the difference between "My Cart" and "My Wish List”?
In the "My Cart" page you can find and add the products you selected for online purchase; to add an item to the list
of your online purchases, simply click the "Buy Online" button.
In the "My Wish List" page you can compile a selection of products to find out whether they are available at IKEA
stores, and print the list to bring it to the store; to add an item in your purchase list, click the "Add to list" button.
You can transfer items from your Wish List to your cart by clicking the blue “Buy online” button on the right of each
item. If you cannot see the button, it means the item is not available to buy online.
I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?
To retrieve your password, select "My Account", then "Forgot your password?"
A new password will be sent to you via email to allow you to continue your shopping without inconveniences.
Can I buy products without creating an account?
You can buy products on our www.IKEA.it website without creating an account; when you are ready to complete your
purchase, select the "New Customer" option. If you wish, you can create an account after you submit the order.
Can I buy from abroad?
Our 'Buy Online' service allows you to buy from abroad, as long as the shipping address is within the Italian territory.
Can I buy an IKEA Gift Card along with other online purchases?
The Gift Card cannot be added to your online purchase cart at this time. Click here to buy a Gift Card.

Can I buy IKEA FAMILY promotional products?
You can buy promotional products if the discount is shown in the product page.
Register as "Registered User" and enter the email address associated to your card.
In the case of promotions requiring a coupon, the discount will not be visible in the product page: read the promotion
regulations to learn how to participate.
The system does not accept my IKEA FAMILY password. How can I log in?
Enter the email address associated to your card in the "Registered Users" section, then select “Don’t have a password
yet, or forgot your password?" This will generate a new password that will be sent to the email address you entered.
I can’t remember the email address I used when I registered. What should I do?
Contact our Customer Service with your IKEA FAMILY card number at hand. We will provide the new data.
I have just registered and I can't log in using my credentials. Why?
After registration you have to wait 24 hours for data synchronization, before you can buy online.
Can I use my IKEA FAMILY Paycard to buy online?
When you buy online you can only pay by VISA or MASTERCARD credit card.

IKEA offers a convenient home delivery service. The fees vary depending on the value of the goods to be shipped and

Do you ship to the islands?
You can buy products for shipment to the islands. In Sardinia only the Lightweight Shipping service for items under 30
kg is available at the price of €15.50.For the other islands, orders weighing more than 30 kg can also be shipped,

Assembly
Can I buy the assembly service?
The Assembly Service cannot be purchased with IKEA’s "Buy online".
To buy it, go to an IKEA store with the order confirmation you receive via email.
Changing an order
I have changed my mind about my purchases. How can I change or cancel my order?
With IKEA, you have the right to change your mind! Within 10 days after receiving your order you can exercise your
right of withdrawal, or within 90 days after the purchase you can return the product(s) to any IKEA store and get a
refund for the amount of the returned products, in the form of a coupon that you can use at any IKEA store. For
terms and conditions and for the exceptions thereto, please read the Sales Terms and Conditions applicable to the Buy
Online service.
I received a damage item. What should I do?
Remember to report it on the delivery note at the time of product delivery, then contact us or go to any IKEA store in

Payment methods
How can I pay for my purchase?
You can pay for your purchase by Mastercard or Visa credit card at the time of submitting your order.
Can I spend the Gift Card to buy online?
Due to technical reasons, for the time being Gift Cards cannot be used to pay online purchases. They can only be used
for purchases in IKEA stores.
How can I be sure that shopping online with IKEA is secure?
Our secure-server software encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number using SSL
protocol. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then
securely transmitted over the Internet. Moreover we have implemented 3D Secure security systems:
These are schemes that have been introduced by card issuers to help in the fight against online fraud and IKEA is now
participating in these schemes along with a growing number of retailers. To verify your transaction you will be asked
to enter your 3D Secure password. If you haven't already done so, you will need to register for 'Verified by Visa' and
'MasterCard SecureCode' with your debit / credit card issuer.
You can register either by visiting the card issuer's website directly or simply by placing an order online.
You will automatically be referred to your card issuer's website to register during the checkout process. If you
encounter problems with registration, please contact your card issuing bank directly.
Once you have registered, whenever you shop online with any retailer that shows the 'Verified by Visa' and
'MasterCard SecureCode' logos, you will have one more step in the shopping process. You will be taken to their debit /
credit card issuers' website to enter your password before you are returned the checkout and complete the purchase.
This ensures that only the person who enters the correct password should be able to shop online using your card.

Changing an order
I have changed my mind about my purchases. How can I change or cancel my order?
With IKEA, you have the right to change your mind! You cannot change your order, but you can ask our 7 days a week
Customer Service to cancel your order.
The amount of your refund will be calculated as follows:




Order submitted less 24 hours ago: We can refund the whole amount you paid (goods + shipment).
Order submitted more than 24 hours ago and not yet received: We can refund the amount you paid for the
goods only.
You received the goods less than 10 days ago: You can exercise your right of withdrawal. Take the goods to
the store, and we will refund the entire amount you paid (goods + shipment). If you ask for the items to be
collected at your home, you will be charged the same amount as for home delivery.
You received the goods less than 10 days ago: within 90 days after the purchase, you can return the
product(s) to any IKEA store and get a refund for the amount of the returned products, in the form of a
coupon that you can use at any IKEA store. If you ask for the items to be collected at your home, you will be
charged the same amount as for home delivery.
For orders heavier than 30kg in Sardinia: take the items to the Pick-Up Point: the amount will be credited to your
credit card.
