Media Release PR/011/15 23 February 2016 New face for NSW Farmers in the north NSW Farmers has welcomed a new face for the northern region with Susie Bate joining the team of Regional Services Managers. Susie will be based in Tamworth and comes to the NSW Farmers regional team armed with diverse experience in agriculture and resource management. Susie has worked for AgForce as a regional manager and worked in natural resource management with the Queensland Murray Darling Committee and Santos. “I’ve always loved agriculture, and the industry has been a part of my family for generations. I have always focused my career on community engagement, events and public relations related to agriculture,” Susie said. Born into farming on a cattle and broad acre dry land cropping property near Emerald, Susie knows the importance of representation for local food and fibre production. “I recognise producers need a strong voice from the paddock to the policy desk and that’s why I am excited to join NSW Farmers. NSW Farmers understands the NSW policy landscape and the unique needs of farmers in this state.” “It is also great that NSW Farmers has something to offer members of every age, from every commodity group and every business size,” Susie concluded.
