Please review your child’s progress so far this semester. Keep in mind that students have a little less than 2 weeks to raise their grades. If you have questions about your student’s progress, please feel free to reach out to their teachers and Grade Level Chair. Save the Date - Black History Month Family Dinner: Come celebrate this month with us at our annual Black History Month Family Dinner on Tuesday, February 10th from 6:00 – 7:30 in the evening. If you are interested in celebrating with us, please see and complete the invitation that was sent home last week along with Parent Notes. Our theme this year is: Be empowered to speak, act and change. All families are welcome to join us as we celebrate together. Parent Surveys – Thank you to all of our parents for taking the time to complete the Parent Survey sent out a few weeks ago. We really appreciate your feedback! Congratulations to our raffle winner: Sugey Garcia! Countdown to Common Assessments: -10 School days left! Common Assessments are from Tuesday, February 17th to Thursday, February 19th. Theses district exams are rigorous and it is crucial that students begin to prepare now for them by studying every night and attending tutorials as needed. We want all of our students perform to the best of their abilities. We have found that students perform better when they test during the exam period with their classes. Therefore, please do everything possible to make sure your child doesn’t miss any testing. Middle School Carnival and Dance: Parents are invited to join us or volunteer at this year’s MS Carnival (Feb. 4th) and/or MS Valentine’s Dance (Feb. 13th)! Stu Co will be accepting donations for both events, we will need: Bite Size candies for prizes (Snickers, Reese’s, Skittles, etc.) Other small prizes Chocolate and Vanilla Pudding Cups Reddi Wip Cream Bottles (Pie Eating ) Anyone willing to work the hot chocolate booth Parent volunteers are needed to help Student Council with booths if they can.
