Please read this information carefully:
1. This competition is open to any teacher who is a UK resident, excluding employees of Capita
Children’s Services, their families, agencies or any other companies directly connected with the
administration of this promotion.
2. Entries must be made by tweeting @CapitaSIMS with ‘To raise achievement I need…’ and their
answer. The #teachtoinspire hashtag must also be used in the tweet. All entries must be
submitted by 12.00 GMT on 30 October 2015, to be valid for entry into the competition. Obscene
or inappropriate entries will not be accepted and Capita Children’s Services reserves the right to
reject any entries for any reason at its sole discretion.
3. Entries will be judged on or before 6 November 2015 at 17.00 GMT by a panel of judges, who are
all teachers and winners of the 2015 Let Teachers SHINE competition.
4. The Let Teachers SHINE competition winners will be judging tweets on what they believe are the
most inspirational answers.
5. Each prize winner will receive a book bundle up to the value of £45. The books include: Of
Teaching, Learning and Sherbet Lemons: A compendium of careful advice for teachers – Nina
Jackson, Hands Up: Questions to ignite thinking in the classroom – Stephen Lockyer, This
Much I Know about Love Over Fear: Creating a culture of truly great teaching – John Tomsett
The prizes are subject to availability. Capita reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent
value where necessary for reasons beyond its control.
6. Prizes can only be delivered to a UK address.
7. Two winners will be selected. The winners will be notified by Twitter within 10 working days of
the closing date.
8. The winner’s Twitter username will be posted on the @CapitaSIMS Twitter page after the winner
has been selected.
9. Alternative prize or cash alternative cannot be requested and the prize is not transferable.
10. The winner may be asked to participate in non-paid publicity accompanying or resulting from this
draw.
11. Capita’s decision as to who has won the prize is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries that do not comply may be disqualified.
12. Capita reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this competition without prior notice if
unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
13. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data
protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.
14. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed and
performed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, whose
