Recognizing Top-Performing Debit, Credit, and Prepaid Programs The Visa DPS Client Achievement Awards reinforce the partnership between DPS and our clients, and celebrate the fact that programs that process with DPS perform better*. The awards recognize clients that achieve the pinnacle of performance in key areas that drive business growth and cardholder satisfaction. The program’s main objectives are to: Measure performance and identify opportunities to improve operations potentially resulting in increased revenues, improved efficiency, and greater customer satisfaction. Recognize excellence in the operational performance of DPS issuers. Encourage the continual evolution of processing performance enhancements. Help identify best practices that can help optimize overall portfolio performance. Promote a spirited environment that increases the quality of transaction processing. Program performance will be evaluated based on transactions processed by DPS during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2016†. Eligible programs must have been in operation for the entire awards period and meet other eligibility criteria.‡ All eligible programs are automatically considered for the awards program. No action is required to participate in the program, but we encourage you to engage with your Visa account team on an ongoing basis to review your program’s performance and look for ways to partner with DPS to grow your business. Awards in each category are typically presented to 2 debit clients, 1 credit client, and 2 prepaid clients. For prepaid clients, awards are typically presented to 1 reloadable consumer portfolio (GPR, Teen) and 1 reloadable commercial portfolio (Government, Commercial, Payroll). Award Categories Highest POS Usage. Recognizing programs in which active cardholders have the greatest usage rate at the point of sale. Valuation based on number of transactions per active card, averaged over the 12-month period. Highest Authorization Approval Rate. Recognizing programs that display a commitment to customer service through high authorization approval rates while controlling risk. Highest Portfolio Growth. Recognizing programs that have achieved exceptional year-over-year growth. Valuation based on growth in the portfolio’s active accounts and transactions. Lowest Gross Fraud Rate. Recognizing programs that proactively partner with DPS to use tools such as Falcon to maintain low rates of fraudulent transactions. Overall Portfolio Excellence. Recognizing programs that maintain strong, wellbalanced performance in the areas of authorization approval rate, POS usage, gross fraud rate, and portfolio growth. Innovators. Recognizing clients demonstrating innovative approaches to improving card program performance and cardholder satisfaction. NEW FOR 2016! Pursuit of Excellence Award.
