Summary of main functions and purpose of job
The purpose of this role is to oversee the overall management of the reception area and reception staff.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the admissions and discharge of patients
in a professional, friendly and timeous manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
•
Manage all departmental staff and report any problems / queries to the Financial Manager
•
Manage all day to day queries
•
Monitor capturing of pre-admission files
•
Complete managers’ report daily
•
Monitor completion of daily reports by pre-admissions
•
Log all Aramis calls for the department
•
Ensure a smooth flow in reception always
•
Be on call after hours and weekends as scheduled
•
All other ad-hoc duties as required
•
Manage the confirmations
Qualifications and Experience
•
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
•
A tertiary qualification in Administration or related qualification
•
Candidates with 10 years Reception Supervisory experience in a Hospital will get preference
•
Previous working experience on SAP is advantageous
•
Computer literacy is essential.
