What I’m going to do today is, I’m going to tell you about the Proven Profits course. But first I’m going to tell you about the three ways to grow a business by Jay Abraham. If you don’t know who Jay Abraham is, definitely go check him out. I was introduced to him by my business coach and mentor Ben Simkin. He is just a fantastic marketing guru, business growth expert and just thinks so far outside the box, it’s crazy. He works with heaps of different industries and he takes bits from different industries and mixes them together to make businesses super unique and successful. He does things that you wouldn’t have thought of, that certain industries don’t normally do. Anyway, he has this theory that there are only three ways to grow a business, and it’s really helped me so I want to share it with you. When you think about it like this, it makes it sound a lot easier to grow your business when you focus on these three things rather than getting all flustered and crazy in your head and thinking things like: What am I doing? How do I grow my business? How do I get customers? How do I make more money? The three ways to grow a business are the following. One is get more clients which everybody knows. Two is get your clients spending more money with you. That could be either offering them separate things or it could be up-selling, it could be doing joint ventures with other businesses and making money off each other from referrals. Lots of different ideas of things that you can do there to get your clients spending more with you rather than spending more elsewhere. Number three is, get them coming back more often. You can write these down if you want to remember them. Can you see if those three things were happening in your business consistently, you would be continually growing your business? If you’ve got new clients coming in all the time and they spend more and more money with you and they also come back? Most business owners, what they do is focus way too much energy on the first one, on getting new clients and not enough on the others. When you do this, when you focus on this, it’s almost like if you picture you trying to fill a bathtub and the plug isn’t all the way in, that’s what happens when you try and do this. You’re trying to fill your tank with water and it just keeps trickling out because you’re always focused on getting new clients all the time, and you really have no strategy or plan for getting them coming back. I talk about this in my courses and in my eBook and I’ve got videos on YouTube about this, it’s super important. The main reason why customers don’t return to your business is because they don’t feel like the business cares, they don’t feel cared about. It’s called perceived indifference and it’s because they forget about you. A lot of business owners don’t have any kind of sales sequence in place which is designed to follow up with clients, either because they don’t know how, or because it’s not easy enough for them. Or they’re too busy doing other things, they don’t have time to follow up with clients, all kinds of stuff like that. Can you see that if you had your business doing those things, automatically it would really help you to maintain a lot more clients and make a lot more money? That’s how I grew my businesses so quickly when I had my salons. I had new clients coming in all the time but what happened was they would always come back and they would tell other people. My marketing was really good but I wasn’t relying on new clients to try and get new clients all the time because I was so busy with existing clients coming back. And that was what forced me to expand because one shop would fill up with regular clients and then I’d have to create another one to keep expanding because they’d come in and it would get full and then you’d have to duplicate it to keep growing. So this gave me the idea to create the Proven Profits course. I was like: “How can I make it easy, like really easy, because I know everyone’s busy and stressed and whatever, for business owners to do all 3 of these ways to grow a business?” Before I continue, I just want to give you a quick rundown on me incase you have no idea who I am or haven't watched any of my videos or worked with me or anything before… I started my first business when I was 19, a graphic and web design business called Didz Design and also sold promotional products and stuff. (My parents called me Didz because when I was little I couldn’t say my own name properly and used to call myself Didda). I did stubby coolers, business cards, logos, signage, rollup banners, websites and all of that fun stuff. That business got customers, but didn’t succeed very well in the long run because I made a lot of mistakes in it (which was actually a good thing) because I got most of my business mistakes out of the way in that business. When I started my next business when I was 21, that one took off really quickly because I had known or learnt what not to do in the two years before that. That one took off rapidly. I started a spray tanning business in my garage when I was 21 underneath my house. It was actually pretty scummy. I started with $500, that’s all I had. I bought a tanning kit online and taught myself by practicing on friends. By the time I was 25, I had three shops. And I wasn’t working in the shops. I had them running without me in them. I had two or three staff members in each shop and I had some mobile services and I did it all pretty much with Facebook and my website. We’d take all of our bookings and get clients basically through Facebook, text message or our online booking form. I also launched my own product range which was wholesale hair extensions. I had my own brand of spray tan solution at one point too. I built the wholesale hair extension range into a six-figure business in just under 12 months as well just using Facebook and I only used one Facebook ad to grow that business. It followed the same process as the business before it. I also had an ad that was bringing in constant inquiries, constant bookings, constant customers. We also had an automation sequence in place to keep people buying again and keep people knowing about us and re-ordering and that kind of thing and it does help that the product was great as well. At the end of 2013 I was going to networking events because I wanted to meet more business owners and learn some new things. I noticed that whatever people were talking about on the stage at these events, I already knew and was already doing most of the things. When I was talking to people at the events, they would ask me what I did and I would tell them “I’ve got 3 stores and bla bla bla” and they’d go, “Holy shit, how do you do all of that?” or “Why aren’t you working in your store? How is it running without you?” I realised that people were interested in my story and what I do, so maybe I should start sharing some of that to help people? I started making some YouTube videos and people started asking me for help so I became a coach and a consultant in 2014 and I’ve been doing that ever since, and I freakin love it. Now, what I do is teach business mastery and Facebook marketing to business owners in lots of different industries and these are just a couple of results. My main program is called the WolfPack Mastermind. These are just three recent results from a few members. There was Suzanne who’s spent $48 on an ad, got $1,000 from that, & a bunch of new clients. It was her goal to get 20 new clients within two months and she’s hit that already and it’s only been a couple of weeks. That’s the kind of thing that you can do with Facebook. Angela has booked four weddings. She does makeup and has made $2,000. It’s her goal to do a wedding every weekend. Shazzi has just over doubled the amount of clients she sees in a week and they’re all getting great feedback! So, how do you get new customers, get them spending more and get them coming back? That’s what I want to cover now. You really need good advertising and sales skills, I know that’s really broad, but let me explain. Advertising brings the customers to you. A lot of business owners are scared to advertise or they’re still sceptical about advertising or about spending too much on advertising, because they don’t feel 100% confident in it or maybe because they try things and it doesn’t work, that kind of thing. The purpose of your advertising is to get people to know you and to see you and to enquire with you. This is called “generating leads” for those who are new to business and may not know the technical term. (I remember a time when I didn’t know so I like to explain this to people). Next, you need sales skills in order to convert your inquiries into paying customers. A lot of business owners can be really good at generating leads and getting people contacting them or inquiring or being interested in what they do or asking prices and stuff. But they find that when they give people the price or whatever, they just drop off and disappear and that can be really frustrating and then they go: “Why aren’t I getting any customers?” That’s where sales skills come in. You need to have the ability to talk to people in a certain way that enables them to want to buy from you. Then you should have a sales sequence (which is different again). A sales sequence is a way to continue to build a relationship with people after the sale, and this is where a lot of people fail. They just don’t do it, so they have a lot of clients just disappearing & never coming back. These are some of the reasons why I love Facebook ads for getting new clients. They’re super cheap and a really effective form of advertising because everybody’s on Facebook. It’s so powerful that you can get the exact right offer in front of the right people. The right people can see whatever you’re selling and they are the people that are interested in what you’re doing. You can target people really specifically so you can dig into targeting moms or engaged women or business owners, anything like that. Some things that I’ve done in my beauty business (which I’ve sold now), I don’t have that anymore, I’m a fulltime coach now... But I would do $5 boosted posts and turn them into $500 in sales and generally make about $1,000 to $2,000 a day. I still use the same strategies now in my online business. The secret is in the offer, the targeting and the message. All of them need to be on point. You need to know who you’re talking to, you need to know what they want and you need to have it written in a way that gets their attention and gets them to want to take action on what you’re doing. When you get something like that that works, then you can use it over and over and over again. This is a really big point that I wanted to make is that you can grow a business with one great ad. This is what I try and get through to my clients. Some of them learn it, some of them struggle a bit with it and that’s why I wanted to touch on this today now because what most business owners do is they over-complicate things and try and do too many things at once. I used to be like this as well. I still have to fight the shiny object syndrome. I really do, because I’m creative and if you’re a creative person you like to do a lot of things. However, I do have a lot of self-discipline now and if I know that if I start focusing on something that isn’t the main thing that I know is going to help to grow my business, then I will maybe play with it a little bit and then talk myself out of it and go back to what I know is going to grow the business and make money. You’ve got to have self-discipline, or you’re never going to get any one thing big enough, and you will just constantly keep yourself going around in circles with half finished projects your whole life. The thing to remember is that when you’re advertising or marketing your products and services, you’re going to get bored of your ad or your promotion before all of your potential new customers have even seen it. Let that sink in a little bit. Write it down if you want to. Does that make sense? You might have created this great offer or this great ad and you put it out there and there are so many people still out there that haven’t seen it at all yet. They don’t know that you even exist but you go, “I’m sick of this one now, I’m bored of it, I’ll do something else.” Whereas really, if it works, it’s really silly to stop it or to change it just because you’re bored of it. Because it’s there for the customer, isn’t it? And if you’re making money from it… why stop? This is what I’ve always done when I find something that works. I might try a bunch of different ads or strategies when I’m setting up a new marketing campaign. Sometimes a lot, sometimes you can’t get it right straight away, you’ve got to find out what people want from you. If you have a lot of ideas, you can try a lot of ideas. When you find the one that works which is the one that the customers like, (it’s always the clients or the marketplace is going to tell you what they like by the way). It’s not if you come up with an idea and someone else like your friend doesn’t like it or you don’t like it, it’s not about that. It’s about what the customers like or don’t like. When they like something and that works, you just scale it, keep going and you can grow your business really quickly. If your customers keep coming back and telling people about you and how great you are, you won’t always need to be looking for new ones. When I encounter people all the time that are like, “I need new clients,” and years or months goes by and they’re still going, “I need new clients,” my automatic thought is what’s happening to your existing ones? Why aren’t they coming back because if you have a good relationship with them then you shouldn’t be always needing new customers. Of course it does depend a little bit on your industry and what you sell but in service-based industries where people come back to you that’s how it is or how it should be. Another important thing is you need to focus on and improve the lifetime value of your clients if you want to grow your business. The lifetime value, in case you don’t know is what the client is worth to your business over a period of time. For me, when I had my salons, if we’ve got people coming in for spray tans, maybe their first spray tan for their high school formal where they’re 17 or 18 or something like that and they love it... I knew then that they would continue to get them for special events or just for fun during their life like for weekends or parties or going out clubbing, whatever, festivals, until they were about the age of early 20’s, maybe 23 to 25. People would sometimes stop getting spray tans regularly and they’d just be for special occasions, but we’d get heaps of girls between 18 to 25 who were just addicted and they’d be in every week or every fortnight just getting tans. I knew that if we could get them in (and tans were like $25) around 17 to 18 years old and we had a really good sales strategy or sales sequence and good relationship-building stuff then they would keep coming back regularly for years. That one customer, that $25 spray tan (that I was advertising for $20 or $15 or whatever special first time client offer I was running). If they keep coming back for five years, that one customer is worth thousands of dollars to the business. Over $5000 on average. And if you have say, 200 customers who are worth around $5k each to your business over a few years… then that’s $1M in sales in that time period... That’s the power of the lifetime value of your customers. Same with hair extensions, we’d get people in, they’d generally come in every 2 months, for six months or a year with the first set of hair, and then they get a new set of hair extensions and repeat the maintenance process again and again. It was generally a few years that we would keep a hair extension customer for. Some shorter, some longer. That’s why when you are advertising, it’s really important to focus on the lifetime value of the customer. If you know that you’re getting a customer that’s coming in that’s worth $1,000 a year for your business then you can spend a bit more on your ads because you know that you’re going to make more money as that customer comes back throughout the year. So how do you do this? You need to have a great ad running to get leads and inquiries. You need to have really great sales conversations with your leads including following up. A lot of people are not maximising their full potential if they get a lot of people inquiring and then they give them the price and they don’t reply or whatever, and then they give up on that lead. A lot of people aren’t following up so then they’re losing money. You’ve got to have sales conversations and follow up conversations as well. A percentage of your leads will convert into your paying customers. This is a really big point that I want to make to you because one thing I’ve noticed with teaching marketing and teaching ads is sometimes people get really upset or they get really down on themselves when not everybody books in with them or not everybody replies. You need to look at business in a numbers sense, it helps to take the emotion out of it. Let’s say if you get 20 people, you run an ad, you spent $20 on an ad and you get 20 people interested in it or inquiring in it, and ONE of those people books in with you or buys, some people get really upset about that. They’re like, “What about the other 19? Nobody likes me. Boo hoo.” Yet if that one sale was for a $100 service or a $200 service or even if it was only for a $20 service but then they keep coming back regularly and turn into $1,000 per year in a customer then you still come out ahead because you’re making more money than you’re spending. That’s what’s important. That’s what you’ve got to focus on in a business sense. That’s why I find that you need to be able to have that little bit of separation with you and your business because your business isn’t you. Your business is something that you have created. It’s external to you. It’s like having a child. You can’t control everything but you need to look at it in a results-focused way. That’s a really good result, and then you know that if you spend $20 and you make $1,000 a year from that $20 then you can spend that 10 times and you make 10 times that. It’s all about finding out your conversion rate and your customer acquisition cost, how much you need to spend to get a customer. You then need to keep those customers coming back and spending more. If you repeat that same strategy over and over and over again, sometimes you need to tweak it or adjust it slightly but you can do that. If you make more than you spend then you are always winning. So the Proven Profits course… After working with hundreds of business owners over the last three years as a teacher, coach, consultant (and I’ve also been doing the work for some larger companies). I have discovered a few advertising techniques that are proven to work and they work every time. I’ve tested this. I’ve tested it in my own businesses, I’ve tested it in my clients’ businesses. These four methods work every single time to get leads, it doesn’t matter what you’re selling. Also, some people seem to get to a stage where they get stuck for new ideas. This is what I’ve noticed or they get really busy in their businesses, in their lives, and they don’t have time to create new ads but they know they need to get them running to keep their business consistent & growing. What I was thinking about for a long time regarding this is “what can I do to make this easier for people?” I teach people how to do it themselves in the Wolfpack, and that’s the best way to do it but what can I do to make it even easier? So I had an idea that I could create a ready to go ads package as a product showing these proven to work strategies that people can just edit and customise to suit their own brands and businesses. So I am introducing to you “Proven Profits”. What it is, is customizable, editable, ready to go ad templates, scripts and instructions that will get you likes, leads and sales using Facebook. I have said it’s proven to work or your money back because I’m an ethical person. I know that if for any reason it doesn’t work for you, we’ll refund it. It is proven to get you leads and all you need to do is follow the instructions. It’s super easy. There are editable templates for images in case you don’t know what images to use. There is editable text that you just need to change the words in and you can use that for your ads. The same with the sales conversations, it’s all there and all you need to do is just tweak it to suit your business. This is one of the results from one of the templates in action just recently that’s been running for a while. It’s got 800 likes, 983 comments and 28 shares so far and it’s reached 37,000 people in that business’ local area. What it’s designed to do is you pick an ad template from the four that are in there, you tweak it, you keep it running and it will get you a lot of exposure and a lot of leads for what you sell. Proven Profits is four customizable image and text options for your ads. Why I chose four is because you can run them quarterly as well. If you don’t want to run the same ad all year you can mix it up. You can run one for four months and then swap it to another one for four months and then swap it to another one for four months so that it’s alternated, and then you can do it again the next year and start from scratch again. That’s what lots of big businesses & franchises do. It’s got clear instructions on who to target when you boost the post and when you run it as an ad. There are example scripts for sales conversations to help you talk to people to get them actually booking in too. There are also some bonus trainings that I’m throwing in for you. One is on following up, (how to follow up with people and what to say). One is on sales sequences, how to put something together that’s automated to help you, help clients remember about you and to come back. One of them is a video where I’ve screen recorded myself setting up an offer, boosting it for $5 and making $500 in sales from it. If I was to do this for you, what I charge generally for this kind of stuff when I’m doing one-on-one work for people is generally anywhere from $5000 to $11,000 a month. For you to get the templates for yourself right now and get started bringing new clients into your business, it is either one payment of USD $997, or there is a payment plan option of 4 monthly payments of USD $297. That’s literally like swapping one or two clients per month for the ability to bring in SO MANY MORE. (I’m also able to be flexible with other payment plan arrangements if you really want to join, and can’t afford the other options. Just message us what would work for you and we can maybe work something out). Basically if you wanted to get onto it, you really only need to get one or two customers from it and it’s paid for itself. And then you just keep making money. The link is here if you want to get it. The price is in US dollars. CLICK HERE FOR $997 IN FULL. CLICK HERE FOR 4 MONTHLY PAYMENTS OF $297 There’s also a secret Facebook group for people that are in the course so that they can share their results and share their ideas with each other, or share their images and that kind of thing. It’s fun to do that as a group. Also know that the program, it is designed to be like a product, like a DIY thing. It’s not a coaching kind of thing. It’s a you take it, you customise it, you do it. It’s designed like that. In the Facebook group I’m not available as a one-on-one coach or anything like that. I just want to make that clear. I can only do that for members of my WolfPack Mastermind. I will pop in to see how everyone is going and to celebrate with you when you have your wins and stuff though. (That’s my favourite part of teaching)! What I wanted to say here as well is that if you have already done one of my courses or if you’re already in one, this is a pretty great supplement. If you understand the psychology behind great marketing (which is what I teach in the wolfpack) you can even make the templates more powerful with your skills and knowledge or use them as a ‘set and forget’ thing throughout the year to generate new clients. For anyone who hasn’t worked with me before or is interested about joining the WolfPack, I thought also this might be a good opportunity for you to experience the things that I teach and also see how easy I make things and why so many of my clients get results really quickly. I don’t generally fluff around when I’m teaching things. I’m like, “do this,” and I get straight into the juicy stuff. And it works. This is the link again if you wanted to get it. CLICK HERE FOR $997 IN FULL. CLICK HERE FOR 4 MONTHLY PAYMENTS OF $297 I hope that you think it’s pretty cool because I do. I’ve been putting it together for quite a while. And you will be able to finally stop fluffing around on Facebook and wasting time and just start getting tonnes of leads and bookings as soon as you start. It will also build your Facebook page likes. What happens when you have an ad running, you get more likes. A lot of people who advertise, they want more likes or more engagement but more likes doesn’t actually make money. The way to do it correctly is to have an ad running, a really good ad running, a really good offer running that’s designed to get you customers. What happens is that’s also going to get your page more likes and more engagement at the same time. You’re getting more likes but you’re not just spending money on more likes, it’s spending money to boost posts to get engagement, and you’re profiting from the ad that you’re running and from all the likes that you’re getting. As I said there’s a 30-day money back guarantee, so that if you try these things and if they don’t work within 30 days for any reason, they should, but if they don’t you get a full refund. What I classify as working is that you get more likes, more engagement and more leads and more sales. As I’ve said, you probably only need a few clients (think LTV) to be able to pay for it and then you can do the whole thing over and over again. So, if you’re ready to start making more money and getting more clients, the sooner you start, the sooner you’re going to get them. Here are a few more recent results from people who have done the program and who are in the Facebook group right now. CLICK HERE FOR $997 IN FULL. CLICK HERE FOR 4 MONTHLY PAYMENTS OF $297 If you join in full, you’ll get the details through instantly. If you do the payment plan, we just have to set you up manually, so you’ll just need to wait up to 12-24 hours or so to be added into the group and get your login details. Hope to see you inside the group and see your results soon :) Carissa xo
