THE SECRET GARDEN:
TECH/DRESS REHEARSAL Wednesday May 10th at Prairie High School
The following classes must attend dress rehearsal this day:
4-7 pm

Saturday 10.15 Pre Ballet A/B
Bumblebees: Wednesday. 10.45 am Fairy Tale Ballet

Ladybugs: Wednesday 5 pm Angelina Ballerina

Dragonflies: Saturday 9.30 Angelina Ballerina
Fireflies: Monday 6 pm Angelina Ballerina
Thursday 6.30 Fairy Tale Ballet
Orange Blossoms: Tuesday 5.30 pm Pre Ballet B

Mary, Colin, Dickon, Cat, Bird: required to attend rehearsal also from 4 - 7 pm
Opal, Sydney Reznicki, Hannah, Chloe, Maya R. & Maddie B: required to attend rehearsal also
from 4 - 7 pm
These classes only have to attend tech/dress rehearsal this day.
The classes listed above do not have to attend tech/dress rehearsal on Thursday May 11th.
Enter the school through the main entrance and proceed to the auditorium. Come in costume
and with your hair in the required hairstyle. Make-up is necessary at this rehearsal only for the
classes listed above.
Once you have rehearsed your parent will need to attend a short informational meeting and
then you will be free to leave.

No make-up is necessary at the rehearsal from 7 - 9pm..
Students with rental costumes (Levels 1A & 1) will need to check them in and out with the
costume volunteer.
Once you are changed please wait in the auditorium until you are called to the stage.
Once you have rehearsed your parent will need to attend a short informational meeting and
then you will be free to leave.

This will be a technical rehearsal only for the performers listed below:

These dancers will need to remain at rehearsal after they have done their tech. as we will need
them for bows and then a full run through at 7 pm.

PERFORMANCE DAY- Saturday May 13th
There are 2 performances- 1pm and 3.30pm.
Students with rental costumes (Level 1A & 1) will check out their costumes before the 1pm
show and not check them back in until after the 3.30pm show.

THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE IN THE 1pm & 3.30 pm SHOWS: All Level 1A & 1 classes.
Dancers must be in their dressing area 30 minutes prior to show time, dressed with hair and
make-up done ready to dance. Time in the dressing room should be used for hair and make-up
touch ups only. Students will return to the stage for the finale and can be collected from the
dressing room at the end of the show. Students must remain in the dressing room with the
room mom at all times. They are not allowed into the auditorium during the show. Bring a
book, puzzle or paper and crayons to keep busy! No markers! Water bottles only in the
dressing area please.
The show will run approximately 1 hour.

FLOWERS - are available to purchase and present to your dancer when the show is over. This is
a dance tradition and the students love to receive them.
SEATING- is festival seating and doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets are required
due to fire safety and seats may not be ‘saved’ for your guests.
NO FOOD OR DRINK- is permitted in the auditorium. Water bottles only are permitted in the
dressing area.
VOLUNTEERS:
Our show can only run smoothly with the help of volunteers! If you are willing to help please
put your name on the sign-up sheet on the board and our volunteer coordinator will contact
you.
Please understand that if a mom from your class does not volunteer to be with the students
then someone unfamiliar to them will be in charge of the class in the dressing room.
ROOM MOMS: each class needs 1 mom for every 3 students to remain in the dressing room
with their class.
This is for the Thursday rehearsal only and the performances.
Please understand that if a mom from your class does not volunteer to be with the students
then someone unfamiliar to them will be in charge of the class in the dressing room and
backstage.
BACKSTAGE SCENERY MOVERS: Dads and brothers may want to volunteer for this.
TICKETS- & DOOR MONITORS-we have 2 shows and will need 3 ticket sellers/collectors/door
monitors at the door for each show. This is a great job for Dads who wish to help.
FLOWER TABLE- 2 volunteers needed for flower sales.
CUPCAKE/CAKE POP TABLE- 2 volunteers needed for cupcake & cake pop sales.
