NOW GET YOUR AADHAAR NUMBER REGISTERED INTO
YOUR POST OFFICE SB ACCOUNTS SITTING AT HOME
The post offices across Chennai City Region are in the process of linking of Aadhaar
number of customers and capturing of mobile numbers in all types of accounts, to enable
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) payments and SMS alerts, with free of charge.
Now, the existing customers can furnish their Aadhaar number and Mobile Number for
registering in the accounts, without attending the post-offices, through whatsapp. The
WhatsApp numbers are readily available in Chennai Post Website @ www.chennaipost.gov.in
or can call helpline number 044 – 2858 2798. The customers has an option to send the details
through email @ [email protected]
The customers can also furnish the details through Postman or drop in the nearby letter
boxes free of postage.
Details required for linking Aadhaar number / mobile number.
1. Self attested Aadhaar copy.
2. Name of the post office.
3. Account number.
4. Name of the account holder.
5. Mobile number.
All the customers are requested to avail the benefit from their door steps, without
visiting the post offices, at free of cost.
