GETTING STARTED
NOTE: Your baby monkey’s diaper is for
dress-up play only. Don’t feed her any liquids
or real food. For replacement diapers, look for
Baby Alive® diapers at your local toy retailer.
To Install Batteries
Use a Phillips/cross head
screwdriver (not included)
to loosen screw in battery
compartment cover (screw
remains attached to cover).
Remove cover. Insert
4 x 1.5V C size alkaline
batteries. Replace cover
and tighten screw.

Your monkey has sensors that respond to your
touch. She can respond in any number of her 100+
ways, depending on how you play with her!
1. Sides of Head

Slide the bottom ON/OFF
switch to the ON position. Then
activate a sensor on her tummy,
mouth or shoulder and she’ll be
ready to play!

the sides of her head or
snuggle her close to you,
she could:
• move her head toward you
• snuggle into you
• make monkey sounds

your finger in her mouth,
and she could:

Even though she can’t feed herself, she can hold her bottle
in her right hand.

She loves to fall asleep in your
arms! When you lay her on her back
and rock her, she’ll go to sleep.
Sleep/Time Out Mode
After about a minute of inactivity, she’ll go into
SLEEP/TIME OUT Mode. Sometimes she’ll close her
eyes while sitting up. To wake her up, activate the
sensors in her tummy, mouth, or left shoulder.

TROUBLESHOOTING
• When toy is not in use, slide
ON/OFF switch to OFF position
to conserve battery life.
• To help conserve battery life when you’re not playing with toy, be sure nothing is pressing down
on any buttons.
• If she doesn’t function properly, move ON/OFF
switch to OFF position for a few seconds, then
back to ON, and activate any sensor. If that doesn’t
work, it may be time to change the batteries.
• If you’re holding her flat and she’s not going to
sleep, make sure that her left arm is at her side and
not hanging down, so that the shoulder sensor isn’t
activated.
• Playing with her in a very active manner will
cause her to take longer to go to sleep when you
rock her.

• Gently brush with a cloth or soft
brush and wipe off dirt immediately.
No detergent or stain removers.
• Don’t get her wet. To remove stains
use a slightly damp cloth.
• To clean monkey’s face, gently wipe
with soft, damp cloth.
Do not rub.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
CAUTION:
1. TO AVOID BATTERY LEAKAGE
a. Always follow the instructions carefully.
Use only batteries specified and be sure
to insert them correctly by matching the +
and – polarity markings.
b. Do not mix old batteries and new batteries
or standard (carbon-zinc) with alkaline
batteries.
c. Remove exhausted or dead batteries from
the product.
d. Remove batteries if product is not to be
played with for a long time.
e. Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
f. RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: Do not mix
these with any other types of batteries.
Always remove from the product before
recharging. Recharge batteries under
adult supervision. DO NOT RECHARGE
OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES.
2. Should this product cause, or be affected
by, local electrical interference, move it
away from other electrical equipment.
Reset (switching off and back on again or
removing and re-inserting batteries)
if necessary.
