Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) Internship Application Packet Summer 2017 Program Description The Weissman Center for International Business and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) have partnered to offer a summer 2017 internship opportunity at ZCE in Zhengzhou, China for qualified Baruch College students. The ZCE Internship Program will place a lower Senior or Graduate level student in one of the following ZCE departments: Department of Agricultural Products, Department of Non-Agricultural Products or Futures Derivatives Department. Two spots are available. The ZCE Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for a Baruch College student seeking professional experience within an international work experience. The internship provides valuable experience in the following areas: Basic ZCE organizational structure and job functions of each department. Relevant rules and regulations of ZCE and its internal management. Procedures on how to conduct different tasks relating to the Exchange. Daily routines of assigned department, such as assisting with collecting, analyzing data and other materials about commodity indices and other research materials, search & collecting and completing revision for data regarding relevant materials and industries, and collecting and translating data and other materials of overseas derivatives market, etc. To learn more about the program, contact Sarah Demetz, Assistant Director at the Weissman Center for International Business, at [email protected]. Benefits of the Program Summer internship with Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (late June -August 2017). ZCE will provide housing and weekly meals. Airfare and living expenses are covered by the Weissman Center for International Business through the Maurice R. “Hank” Greenberg Fellowship. Student Qualifications Lower Senior or Graduate level student majoring in Economics, Finance, Statistics Quantitative Modeling, Quantitative Methods, Financial Engineering, Accounting, Derivatives Market, or other relevant areas with a 3.0+ GPA. Intermediate comprehension of Mandarin Student must bring own laptop to work on. Student must be returning to Baruch College in the fall 2017 semester. Application Steps Checklist 1.
