Pink Triangle
Cut 1 strip 2½" x WOF.
Turquoise Scribble
Cut 17 strips 2½" x WOF for Borders 1, 3, and 5.
Riley Black Solid
Using the template provided, cut 20 Serpentine Tops
and 20 Serpentine Bottoms. Reverse image or add
¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method
of applique.
Riley White Solid
Cut 3 strips 2½" x WOF.
Cut 6 strips 2½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 12 rectangles
2½" x 16½".
Cut 4 strips 3" x WOF. Cut the strips into 20 rectangles
3" x 6½". Label 10 as A2 and the other 10 as A3.
CUTTING REQUIREMENTS

allowances vary so measure through the center of the
quilt before cutting border pieces.
QUILT ASSEMBLY
Refer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.
Fat Quarter Box
Cut 1 rectangle 4½" x 12½" and 1 square 5" x 5" from
each fat quarter. Label the 5" squares as A1.
Checker Row
Sew a Riley white solid 2½" strip to a blue triangle
2½" strip. Cut the strip set into 16 segments that are
2½" wide. Sew the segments together to create a Blue
Triangle Checker Row.
Blue Main
Cut 8 strips 6½" x WOF for Border 6.
Blue Alphabet
Cut 5 strips 3½" x WOF for Border 2.
Blue Box
Cut 1 strip 4½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 1 rectangle
4½" x 32½".

Quilt Center Assembly
Referring to the quilt photo for placement of the blue
and pink box 4½" x 32½" rectangles, the Checker Rows,
and the Crayon Rows, sew the rows together to complete
the quilt center.
Sew a Riley white solid 2½" strip to a multi triangle
2½" strip. Cut the strip set into 16 segments that are
2½" wide. Sew the segments together to create a
Multi Triangle Checker Row.
Borders
Seam allowances vary so measure through the center
of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border
strips together end to end if necessary to get the length
needed. Sew side borders first.
Multi Triangle Checker Row
Sew a Riley white solid 2½" strip to a Pink triangle
2½" strip. Cut the strip set into 16 segments that are
2½" wide. Sew the segments together to create a Pink
Triangle Checker Row.
Border 1
Side borders should be 52½". Top and bottom borders
should be 36½".

Crayon Block and Row
The crayon tip portion of the block is foundation pieced.
Using the template provided, the assorted Crayola solid
5" squares, and the Riley white solid 3" x 6½" rectangles,
make 10 Crayon Tips. Trim to 4½" x 4½".
Border 2
Side borders should be 56½". Top and bottom borders
should be 42½".
Crayon Tip
Border 4
Side borders should be 66½". Top and bottom borders
should be 52½".
Border 3
Side borders should be 62½". Top and bottom borders
should be 46½".
Sew 4 Riley black solid Serpentines (2 Tops and 2 Bottoms
to a Crayola solid 4½" x 12½" rectangle using your favorite
method of applique to create a Crayon Base. Repeat to
make 10 Crayon Bases.
Border 5
Side borders should be 72½". Top and bottom borders
should be 56½".
Crayon Base
Border 6
Side borders should be 76½". Top and bottom borders
should be 68½".
Sew a Crayon Tip to a Crayon Base to create the Crayon
Block. Repeat to make 10 Crayon Blocks.
Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back.
Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the
Colorfully Creative Collection. Have fun with your colors
and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
Crayon Block
Sew 6 Riley white solid 2½" x 16½" rectangles and
5 Crayon Blocks together to create the Crayon Row.
Repeat to make 2 Crayon Rows.
