Open: We are in a place called the Astral Plane. It’s a metaphysical plain of existence, where
Telepaths can communicate and battle each other. In this we see a figure, Helmeted, more of a
spectral outline, comic book fans would recognize this creature as Onslaught… As the camera
explores this, Professor Xavier gives us a talk about Darker Nature…
“All beings have a Darker nature to them. An urge to do wrong or to succumb the most evil
recesses of our personalities. There is that struggle in each one of us, for the Good inside of us to
battle our darker nature. Sometimes the good nature of Mutant and Humans can win, but far too
often, that darker nature takes hold…”
Proceed to Opening Credits: X – M E N : O N S L A U G H T
Open: Soldiers leaping out of trucks, not American… British.
Legend: Manchester – 1992.
The Soldier are combatting a Mutant, the Figure is massive and Muscular. Running and plowing
through vehicles. A helmet over his head. This is Cain Marko, better known as The Juggernaut.
Cain Blasts through a group of Soldiers. They call for back up – Back up arrives and gets
destroyed. A tank blast hit’s Juggernaut only managing to piss him off, to which he rushes and
smashes through like a piece of paper.
-cut to- The Blackbird, The X-Men (Scott/Cyclops, Jean/Phoenix, Raven/Mystique, Hank/Beast,
Ororo/Storm, Peter/Quicksilver, Jubilation Lee/Jubilee, Kurt/Nightcrawler, and a new face Jason
Stryker/Mastermind)
Inside Scott and Mystique argue best way of taking down Juggernaut. Jean can’t get inside
Juggernaut’s head, neither can Jason. They reason the helmet is the key. The Blackbird lands –
The X-Men exit. They begin to work together, showing the strides of teamwork and attack
Juggernaut in a failed attempt to take him down.
Raven comes up with a plan (Scott and Raven get his attention -Concussive Blast and Shape
Shifting to Match up against Juggernaut-, Quicksilver leads him to Beast who then intercepts
Juggernaut with a few ground pounds, Jubilee uses her fireworks to blind Juggernaut
temporarily, Nightcrawler gets in close and takes the Helmet off when he’s distracted, finally
Jean and Jason work together to Psionically attack Juggernaut.) They execute the Plan in fine
form. They leave Juggernaut, who is picked up by Local military. They return to the X-Mansion.
-cut to- They walk in on a meeting between Xavier and Logan, who’s come to Xavier to get
answers. Xavier introduces Logan to the team, who Logan claims to have some sort of Déjà vu
seeing the faces of the team. Xavier tells the team Logan will be staying with them awhile.
Hank and Charles speak aside from the group asking Charles if he’s been taking his ‘Meds’
while questioning the need to find Erik and Psylocke (who they refer to as Apocalypse’s Ninja).
Charles has asked if Storm has emitted any of these effects, to which Hank says he knows
nothing about it and that it’s best if Charles speaks to her directly.
-cut to- North of the Indian Ocean – Erik Lensherr is hiding out, living in the United Kingdom.
Segregated from society to a point. He’s established a commune of Mutants called the ‘Genosha
Colony’ Mutants are free to live here, Erik’s right hand man Fabian Cortez, assists him in the
workings of the Colony. They’re trying to build a proper city. Psylocke has come to the island
under the guise of a refugee mutant. She then attacks Erik who quickly subdues her, stopping her
in her tracks. Erik imprisons Psylocke. Commenting he’ll need to decide how to punish her.
-cut to- Charles and Storm talk in Charles office, where he asks Storm whether she’s had any
headaches since Apocalypse’s attack on them. She tells him she use to have headaches and
episodes but she’s gotten over it. This is emotionally breaking to Charles. He’s been having
Schizophrenic Episodes, to which he has been taking the ‘Meds’ developed by Hank.
Charles and Hank go to a rebuilt Cerebro to discover the location of Erik and Psylocke. Upon
discovering that they’re in the same Location, Xavier expresses fear at the idea of why. Xavier
and Hank go Genosha to visit Erik.
-cut to- Jason and Jean hang out, awkwardly close. Cyclops expresses his jealousy to Kurt who
calls Cyclops a wussy for not telling Jean his feelings for her. Jean asks Jason about his
relationship with his Father, where he tells her he ‘Hates the Colonel.’ And that he is hated for
not joining the Military and instead going to Xavier’s school. Raven calls the team together for a
training session, asking Logan to join since they’re 1 man short. Logan is unsure until Raven
exclaims it’s a good way to get the rage out.
-cut to- Danger Room The X-Men Train, Logan shows the team why he’s so dangerous in the
mock training session.
-cut to- Erik greets Xavier to Genosha where they catch up before Xavier reveals he knows
Psylocke is there. Erik is quick and clever to put on his Helmet. He and Xavier negotiate the
terms of Psylocke’s release to Xavier. This is all very annoying to Erik as he feels he needs
freedom to rule Genosha democratically and let his people choose punishment for those who
attack him. Xavier needs Erik’s help. Xavier is having massive issues including headaches,
nightmares, and schizophrenic outbursts. Erik reveals the same thing has happened. Xavier
reasons Psylocke is connected to it as well. So, an agreement is made: Erik will transport the
Prisoner to Xavier’s care. Erik and Psylocke will be checked for any psionic activity.
-cut to- Erik, Psylocke, Hank, and Xavier return to the Mansion. Erik gets a glimpse of Logan,
slight Déjà vu moment for him. Once they’re within a proximity, a voice calls out to Xavier,
Magneto, Psylocke, and Storm. The Voice is an Entity that calls itself ‘Onslaught’ then Pulls
itself out of the four of them becoming the Spectral Being (seen vaguely in the opening) It jumps
from Mutant-To-Mutant in the Mansion. The only people who can really keep it out are Jean and
Jason. Forcing them to fight their friends while the four Onslaught pulled itself out of are now
unconscious. This leads to a battle on the Astral Plane between Onslaught, Jason, and Jean.
Onslaught is attracted to Jean wanting to take her over and fuse itself with her raw power. Jason
sacrifices himself to save Jean, allowing Onslaught to take over his body then disappearing.
-cut to- Onslaught exiles itself from the world allowing itself to grow and take over Jason.
-cut to- Jean wakes everyone. Xavier is afraid when he hears what has happened. Xavier
promises to help Logan if he assists the X-Men in finding Jason he will do all he can to help
Logan regain his memories. Logan agrees. Logan gets Jason’s full name, which upon hearing it,
the name angers him greatly and gives him a good idea where to look and heads off. Erik argues
that whatever that ‘Thing’ is needs to be put down regardless of who’s body it jumps into.
-cut to- Jason and Onslaught fight each other in the underground Onslaught begins seducing
Jason offering him something he deeply wants. To fight back against his Parents and to make
Jean Grey fall deeply in love with him. Onslaught chides him for not noticing Jean having eyes
for Cyclops.
-cut to- Logan talks to a person in a diner who gives him black listed information which is the
location of former Weapon Alpha Director Colonel William Stryker.
-cut to- Onslaught is in the underground tunnels. In these tunnels, he visits and is welcomed by
an Underground community known as the Morlocks. Onslaught slaughters them, finding walking
through the halls of their community exploding heads, ripping people apart. This is Onslaught
almost fully taking over Jason.
-cut to- The X-Men Have split into teams looking through different areas of New York for
Jason. Mystique and Nightcrawler check the Morlock’s layer, where Mystique reveals that she is
Nightcrawler’s Mother. Magneto and Storm search together. Cyclops and Jean search a train
station where Cyclops makes a throw a way joke calling the idea dumb. Quicksilver literally
searches the entire city in minutes.
-cut to- Psylocke is imprisoned and being watched by Xavier who asks her questions of her time
with Apocalypse. Beast preforms tests on Psylocke, asking her about her powers, some info on
Psylocke is revealed, her heritage, her parents rejecting her and refusing her fortune for being a
mutant. Xavier makes a plea to give her a home.
-cut to- Home of Colonel William Stryker. Stryker is older now, and his southern draw is a bit
stronger especially now that he lives in Maryland. Jason/Onslaught appears, torn and tattered
forcing himself in, He tortures Stryker. When Jason’s mother appears, Onslaught takes over and
begins manipulating her into seeing visions freaking her out.
She grabs a power drill while William tries to talk her out of it she looks at Stryker telling him
she’s going to “Poor the Images Out.” Before committing suicide. Onslaught seriously wounds
William. Logan interferes before being battered by Onslaught. This allows Stryker to escape.
Onslaught leaves Logan extremely broken by ripping the adamantium from his body, then
disappearing.
-cut to- The X-Mansion, Xavier uses Cerebro to find Logan, sending the X-Men after him as he
needs to be hospitalized.
-cut to- Onslaught goes back underground. He plays with the Adamantium and makes it into an
Armor, manipulating the Matter turning the colors to be more reminiscent of Magnetos. He uses
the adamantium to form the Onslaught Armor, with a suit of Armor, except for the Helmet.
-cut to- The X-Men arrive to find Logan half dead, his healing factor working slower than usual.
They board him back on the Blackbird, Stryker stares the X-Men down, remembering what
happened a few years ago, at Alkali Lake.
-cut to- The X-Men bring Logan into Beast’ lab where he attempts to accelerate Logan’s healing
process, doing numerous scans and tests. Beast isn’t certain Logan can even make it. Jean stays
with Logan, reading his mind and seeing the destruction at the Stryker home. She sees the
Adamantium being ripped from Logan. She tells Hank the type of injuries he sustained. She
stays with him while he heals in the X-Men’s hospital. Xavier visits Logan in the hospital. He
tells Logan how in 1973 he gave him hope and he refuses to give up hope on Logan.
Jean attempts to locate Jason reading his mind. Xavier guides her through it. She is able to find
Jason on Genosha. The X-Men Get ready, Magneto goes with them. Declaring that Genosha is
his home as well as the citizens are his people under his protection and it’s his responsibility to
take care of them.
-cut to- Genosha – Onslaught appears as a mutant refugee he searches the grounds, looking for
something Specific. Onslaught argues with Jason Stryker. This sees Onslaught murdering
mutants in effort to find Magneto’s helmet, to which he does with the rest of Magneto’s armor
(The Armor Onslaught Wears is the one from Days of Future Past) He uses the Armor and the
Adamantium to form the Onslaught armor.
The X-Men arrive, they battle Onslaught in a losing effort, he uses his Psionic abilities to
severely mess with the X-Men then uses a Psyblade like Psylocke’s attacking the X-Men. In the
battle, Onslaught kills Mystique before Magneto pushes him back and wounds him. Onslaught
drives the X-Men and other Mutants away. He has taken over Genosha.
-cut to- The X-Men hold a funeral for Mystique. Their hero is dead. Xavier and Beast Mourn.
Logan wakes up from his hospitalization, he joins the Funeral. Beast works in his lab isolated
from everyone. Nightcrawler enters the room. He talks to Beast about Mystique, wanting to learn
more. When Beast gets agitated with Nightcrawler, he reveals to Hank that Mystique was his
mother and that he just wanted to know her more.
-cut to- Jean crying in Cerebro. Heart-broken that a person she loved killed her hero. Xavier
visits her. He speaks to her about his childhood with Raven. Xavier tells Jean the reason why he
calls her ‘Phoenix’, telling her “Since I met you as a child, every challenge and obstacle you
faced, even when you can’t figure out how to overcome it at first, you always found a way to reevaluate the situation and Rise again finding success out of the ashes of your failures. A rising
Phoenix.”
Jean finds the courage and Xavier helps her use Cerebro. She finds the remnants of Jason hiding
out in an isolated area of Genosha. What is left of Jason is calling to Jean for help. Onslaught
censes the power in Jean and threatens to kill Jason unless she gives herself to Onslaught, Jason
tries to fight back. Xavier joins in. The four of them battle in the Astral Plane where Onslaught
dominates.
Revealing his origin of being the remnants of En Sabah Nur reborn from each of the horseman.
The Onslaught of Mutants. Onslaught has Jason Hostage in the Astral Plane and tells them that if
Jean doesn’t come to him he will continue to slaughter mutants jumping from Mutant to Mutant
until he does take over Jean and become fully powered. He gives them 24 hours to get ready.
-cut to- Onslaught begins reforming Genosha in his own image. Getting it ready, building a
transference table, like Apocalypse’s, to prepare to take over Jean’s body. Onslaught is fully
powered.
-cut to- Beast at the X-Mansion. He talks about all their experiences with Onslaught. All of them
have battled him at this point and he has psychologically broken them. Beast presents them with
newer outfits, each one have some type of head piece. (I.E. Cyclops gets a full cowl, Logan gets
his Wolverine Mask, Storm and Jean get Tiara like headbands, Psylocke gets a techno-ninja
headband, and of course Magneto has a Helmet more akin to his first X-Men Movie Helmet)
Logan makes a joke “You actually go outside in these things?” to which Beast responds “What
would you prefer? Black Leather?” Xavier is deadest on joining the fight.
The X-Men (Beast, Cyclops, Phoenix, Jubilee, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Quicksilver,
Logan/Wolverine, Xavier) get suited up and jump up on the Blackbird. It takes off, All the XMen together, ready for war.
-cut to- The X-Men Arrive together at Genosha. The X-Men try to speak to Jason. Jean breaks
through, telling him she still loves and cares about him. Onslaught “banishes” Jason to the Astral
Plane. Jean and Xavier retreat to the Astral Plane searching for Jason.
The X-Men Battle Onslaught, who uses the full set of powers (Psylocke’s Abilities,
Apocalypse’s Abilities, Xavier’s Abilities, Storm’s Abilities, and Magneto’s Abilities) The
improved gear allows the X-Men to avoid being mentally attacked by Onslaught.
Through the battle, Magneto strips the Adamantium from Onslaught, slowing giving it back to
Wolverine. Quicksilver speeds through the area hitting Onslaught, while also taking a few hits.
Cyclops blasts at Onslaught Beast goes in for a few direct hits, takes a few. Storm shocks
Onslaught who sends a surge back at her. Simply Onslaught is kicking ass.
Jean and Xavier struggle in the Astral Plane. Xavier Battle and Distracts Onslaught while Jean
looks for Jason.
Onslaught. Seriously wounds Magneto, Tossing him down like a ragdoll. Quicksilver speeds to
him, Holding him in his arms. Quicksilver tells Magneto that he is Magneto’s son. Magneto tells
him to help his old man up and team up, combining their powers.
Each of the X-Men work together. Cyclops breaks battle, Jean tells him he needs to remove the
Helmet that it’s making it harder for them to find Jason in the Astral Plane.
Cyclops forms a plan, which is a modified Plan of how Mystique told them to take down
Juggernaut. The team executes the Plan. They take away Onslaught’s helmet leaving him
Vulnerable (now only dressed in Jason’s old X-Men Uniform).
Jean finds Jason in the Astral Plane. Jason tells them Onslaught is too powerful and he needs to
be trapped. Jean doesn’t want Jason to trap Onslaught. He tells her it’s the only way to stop him.
Jean tells Jason she loves him. Jason says he loves her and so does Cyclops, telling her “That
Geek Summers will take good care of you.” He tells Jean to Lobotomize him. Jason battles
Onslaught telling Xavier and Jean to leave the Astral Plane.
Jean and Xavier wake up. Jean tells Cyclops the Plan.
Onslaught and Jason Battles. (Intercut with images of Onslaught fighting the X-Men) Each of the
X-Men, including Jean begin to work together battling, Onslaught. Wolverine tells Cyclops to hit
him and make it a good one, Cyclops questions why, Wolverine tells him to just do it. Cyclops
Blasts Wolverine with the Optic Beams This pisses Wolverine off! Magneto uses his powers to
hurl the re-adamantium boned Wolverine to Onslaught, who blocks with his own magnetism.
Jean uses her telekinesis, going Phoenix Powered to shove Wolverine Close to Onslaught –
Onslaught Battles Jason who briefly gets the upper hand – Jason Regains momentary control of
his body, lowering his influence allowing Wolverine to be hurled into his skull, the claws tear
through Jason’s brain, taking a chunk out of it.
Onslaught and Wolverine fall, landing hard. Wolverine gets up and checks the pulse. Jason is
alive, Just unresponsive. – Cut to Astral Plane Jason and Onslaught are trapped to battle each
other. Neither being able to leave because of Jason’s psychic barriers.
The X-Men stand United, over the ruins of Genosha. Quicksilver helps his father and the Mutant
refugees of Genosha hail the X-Men as heroes. Quicksilver decides to stay on Genosha with his
father and Psylocke, for her help in fighting Onslaught, is given amnesty by Magneto.
-cut to- (sometime later) Jason sits in his wheelchair, vegetative. Colonel William Stryker enters
the room. Looking at his son. Stryker apologizes for not being able to help and vows to make the
X-Men pay for what they’ve done.
-cut to- The X-Men Together. At the Mansion. A family brought together. The Field Team is
Now: Beast, Cyclops, Phoenix, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Storm, and Wolverine) They
talk about how Phoenix was emitting fire as she took helped take down Onslaught, she still feels
bad, thinking that she wishes she could have saved Jason, Cyclops re-affirms its what Jason
would have wanted. An alarm sounds and Xavier Calls to his X-Men to suit up.
They suit up, stepping to the Blackbird, to do whatever it is they’re needed – They stand together
X-Men.
