GRADE POINT AVERAGE (GPA):
The average grade earned by a student, figured by
dividing the grade points earned by the number of credits
CLASS RANK:
A measure of how a student's performance compares to other
students in his or her class as determined by GPA.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
The specific credits a student must earn to graduate
with an Epping High School diploma
POST-SECONDARY: Any type of education that occurs after graduating from high
school
SAT:
Scholastic Aptitude Test, a college admissions test required by most
four year colleges that measures a student’s reading
comprehension, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills
PSAT:
A practice test for the SAT that is typically taken in the fall of junior
year
SCHOLARSHIP:
Money awarded for college for any number of reasons (financial
need, merit, athletics…) that does not need to be repaid
